After many nights of tears, crying while reading Macie her bed time book before we left, and long notes for all the grandparents watching her, Zack and I left for CABO! Wow, what a wonderful and relaxing vacation we had. We missed Macie like crazy, talked/thought about her when we would see other kids, and loved email updates on what she was doing. However, this was a great trip for the two of us! We honestly loved every minute and even wished we could have stayed one more day. We started each morning with a work-out and then a delicious breakfast. After that our day consisted of laying on the beach, reading books, and playing games on Zack's phone. We ate lunch each day on the beach which was fun. We saw a whale swim buy each day as well which was fun because it was the end of whale season. We would go in around 6, clean up and then be off to a wonderful dinner. We would always comment that we never ate this late but it was so fun to just enjoy dinner with an amazing view. We stayed at the Fiesta Americana and would highly recommend it. We actually were already trying to think when we could go back! The staff was so friendly, the resort was so clean, and unlike some of the other places we have been the food was delicious! Oh and the weather was perfect...it was about 85 with no humidity each day and at night it got down to 65.
First day in
Cabo View of the Fiesta Americana
I kept telling Zack that the ocean is so breathtaking. You can't capture how wonderful it is with a camera.
I loved all the flowers

Dinner at
RisotoRisoto was the Italian
Restaurant on the Resort. I was a little nervous about my lobster
ravioli but it was
delicious. Here is our chocolate cake with melted chocolate in it! This and the brownie with
ice cream were our favorite desserts!
All the pools were infinity pools. We swam a couple of times but really just enjoyed the ocean sounds and view more.
On Saturday Zack left the resort to deep sea fish with a guy from New York. I was nervous about him leaving so early (5:45) in the morning in a cab but really I had nothing to worry about. Zack loved his time fishing while I stayed behind and loved reading my book! Zack caught 3 marlin ranging from 80-140lbs. The other guy caught 3 fish as well! It was a good day of fishing even though Zack felt like he was still rocking several hours later.
Bring in the First Fish
This is the first marlin caught weighing around 80lbs.
This seal and others apparently attach themselves to the boats when they come in from being out at sea. The seals wait on you to give them all your scraps! Why go out looking when people just give the food they need! Smart Guy! Zack said he looked really big! He must get a lot of scraps!
Last Night in
CaboWe are both a tan even though we spent most of our time underneath a cabana. The workers kept trying to speak Spanish to us because they thought we were Spanish...must be Zack's dark hair! I would give them my "
Hola" and I think they quickly realized we were
definitely non-Spanish speakers.
They were very big on presentation. There were a few appetizers we didn't try when brought to us but we were so pleased with each meal we ate!
I started eating before I remembered to take a picture. The sauce they had to go with the salmon was remarkable!
