Cousins Come to Town

Welcome to Chesterfield, Lori, Jackson, and Jillian and Grammy (but she has been here before)!  Luckily for our visitors they were able to experience some cooler July weather with less humidity.  Cool temperatures are so refreshing in the summer!  Macie and Weston were beyond excited and couldn't wait to show off their "TEENAGE cousins" to the neighborhood.  This is a BIG deal. Our neighborhood kids always compare who has the oldest cousin or who they know who is older and they love to play TEENAGER and COLLEGE.  We enjoyed every minute of our time and were glad they made the trip to St. Louis!

Just doing a few tricks to show off.

We took the family to the City Museum.  I think they were all a little unsure about what was in store because I didn't give much detail other than they needed to wear shoes.  It is safe to say that they loved this place.  I haven't never been anywhere like the City Museum.  It is filled with pathways, slides, climbing, and so much more.  I can't even imagine how long it took to make and create this place but whoever came up with the idea is APPLAUDED!

 Because Jackson played....Weston played.
Our neighbor caught a chipmunk while out of town, so we took SHOE to the park to be released to his new home.

Zack, Jackson, and Weston got a lot of fishing in while Jackson was here.  I think all the boys enjoyed their time together.  We stopped by on Friday night and Macie caught a fish too.

This picture is take way up high before we headed up through the tunnel (pic below) for a long slide down to the bottom.

While the boys did boy things, Jillian and Macie did hair, make up and had tea parties with the fancy plates and cups.  It was very sweet to watch the girls have fun doing girl things!

Although Grammy and Lori might kill me, I have to say we had a good 'ol time playing on the Wii while the "men" where fishing.  We danced and laughed...fun had by all.

We Love the BEACH!

We loved every second of every minute of our vacation to Destin!  It is one great place to relax, enjoy being together as a family, and soak up the sun.  We looked forward to the day it arrived and now long for the next time we see the white sand and amazing water.

My pretty 6 and a HALF year old!  That half is a very big deal.

This was Weston almost every picture.

Two of my FAVORITES!

Weston just wasn't in it for this pic or many others.  Just not his day!

Melted Pappy's Heart

 Birmingham, Alabama
We love this hotel so much that we stayed again this year as we drove to Destin.  Macie insisted that it was the exact room.  We had fun swimming, playing and looking at the golf course.

Weston is begging to play golf with Pappy. "But I never play here with Pappy.  Peeasse."

 MARSHMALLOWS are yummy.

 Goodnight, Alabama

HELLO, Destin

Our first day at our condo, the clouds rolled in while we waited on Nonnie and Pappy to arrive.  That traffic is a mess.  The kids took a quick dip in the pool and Kinsley took a nap while we waited.  After the storm, we were off to the beach.  Kinsley didn't, I repeat DID NOT like the the feel of sand on her feet.  It took her a few days to venture off the towel we set out for her.  She was very serious on the beach but ALL smiles at the pool.

Wating on her Bubba to fill up the bucket.

A storm blew in and it blew in quickly.  We heard different things as to why.  All I know is Zack and I looked up and saw a strange line of clouds.  Then it hit as we were entering the gate.  Umbrellas were flying, kids were crying, and people were racing to get inside.  It was over in about 30 minutes and the sun was out again.

Catch of the Day
Weston was so tired that he went to sleep while I was holding him.  How long ago has it been since this has happened.  Almost daily Weston would put himself down for a nap and bedtime.  Both he and Macie swam their hearts out.

 Date Night....

 The GIRLS

Weston, Zack, Nonnie, and I all were buried at least once while all the beach.

 Has anyone seen Kinsley?

We left at 4:30 and this sweet thing didn't fall back to sleep unitl 8:30.  She sure was happy to have her milk and sprinkle donuts.  It seemed she wanted to chat all the way home.  It was quite cute.

Here are a few videos...I don't know if I got all of my favorites.  I just guessed when picking some.
