FIRST DAYS of FALL

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FALL DAY! Today Macie and I met up with some ladies I met at church and went to an apple orchard. It was so much fun. The owners gives a presentation about cotton, growing apples, and bees/honey. Then the guide takes the group around the farm showing the kids the crops that are planted, the pond, the chickens, and the apple trees. After picking apples, you take the apples in a building and watch them get washed. Then finally after the tour you eat the apples. The guide/owner kept saying that Macie was so cute to me and some of the others. I was a little embarrassed since she said it over and over. Macie was a good audience though trying to eat the vegetables, laughing at the grasshoppers, and screaming with delight at the chickens. Each time the lady pulled out a puppet or a creature to show off Macie was at the front of the group. I loved our time out there...the whether was amazing and it definitely felt like fall!
The presentation was not quite interesting enough to keep Macie and the other little ones entertained. She did like sitting on the bench by the kids.
Trying a bean. First she tried to eat the whole thing. Macie ended up spitting it out.
Macie met a new friend. Marisa was 3 and she would walk Macie around when Macie would let her.
Macie was so interested in the grasshopper puppet! She got up as close as she could.

Macie is laughing at the grasshopper that the lady is holding.
"Hopper" is what Macie calls grasshoppers. I looked up and she was carrying it off with her!

Macie is by the pond that is on the farm. She said the alligator was "nice" and gave it a kiss too!

Chickens
This rooster here kept "cock-a-doodle-doing!" He seemed to be the boss rooster. Macie would laugh and scream. She kept trying to put her fingers in the fence and wanted to give the rooster a kiss. I had to remind her to back up or he would peck her.
Macie is blowing a kiss bye-bye to the chickens.
Finally given the ok to eat the washed apple!

Macie found this seat and decided she liked sitting in a big girl chair.
Macie ate the entire apple almost...meaning I looked down and realized seeds were missing and she finished some of the core!

Last Days of Summer

THE POTTY!!!
Ok, so for a few months now Macie has acted interested in the potty. Macie also tells me when she is about to poo poo or has just done it. She often makes the tee tee sound when I put her on it. I bought her a potty so we would be ready for it when the time comes. I showed it to her a few weeks ago but she just wanted to pick it up or stand in it...meaning both feet in the potty. I put it back up after that. Then she found it one day and kept saying to me potty which I realized she had found. We got it back out and went through the whole thing of where does tee tee and poo poo go? She responded, "Potty!" We read her potty book and sat her down...nothing but the tee tee sound again. Well, the other day she said tee tee and I asked if she wanted to potty. "YES!" We ran into the bathroom and took her diaper off...nothing. We went back in the kitchen to finish her snack and she said, "Poo Poo!" I said, "Let's go to the potty then." She had already gone in her diaper so I sat her on the potty and finished the process of wiping, flushing, and washing hands like her book. So I showed her the MINNIE panties. She wanted to put them on. I kept asking, "Where does tee tee and poo poo go?" She responded correctly. It was so cute because she kept looking in the mirror at herself. (I have a pic with my camera phone)! Anyways, she said the famous word, tee tee. I was hurrying her to go sit on the potty but it was TOO LATE! Tee tee was all over my curtains that were on the floor because we had painted the dining room. It wasn't a big deal and the curtains weren't ruined.! I don't want to pressure her or scare her with the whole idea so I just reminded her that tee tee goes in the potty! Macie will probably hear those words a ton.
SO ANYWAY, to finish the story....after Macie's bath the other night she sat on the potty. I was telling her to go potty and again she made the sound. She got up and there it was...tee tee in the potty. Zack and I clapped, got her a sticker, and made a huge deal out of it (I forgot to wipe her and wash her hands..I was so excited)! Has she gone since? No, but I am not going to push it because she isn't two yet. I don't think she still totally understands it. I do know that she keeps going in the bathroom and wanting a sticker.
Macie loves snack time or breakfast at her new table! She colors there, too! I don't know if this is why she does it but 3 times I have found all the chairs in the dining room lined in a row. I wonder if she moves them in there because she watches me do that when I sweep and mop!I keep working on Macie saying, "GO TECH!" Hopefully her cheering will help them pull off some wins!
GO TECH!
I made Macie a red and black tutu to go with her shirt but if I ask her if she wants to wear it she says, "NO!" It is so cute so I will keep working on her! She is holding the flags these men used to mark the grass for wires. They didn't know we have a little one at our house and either flags were pulled up or pulled apart and put in the trash! She SHOWED them that she didn't want them digging up her Daddy's lawn.

Mommy's Helper is what her apron says!
I thought it would be fun to make brownies together thinking she could help pour and stir. Brownie mix wound up on the floor and she kept trying to eat it which I didn't want her to do because of the raw eggs. In the end, she had chocolate on her, me, in her mouth, and on the floor. What fun we had!

Big Girl Ponytail!

Macie loves the park! I gave her the choice the other day whether she would rather go to the pool or park. Her response, "Park." (She knows both words...she says pool each time we pass it on our way home.)
"Swing me as high as I can go, Daddy! I am not afraid!"

The Higher the Better!
Macie could swing for hours, I think. Not me...Zack and I both tried it and it made our stomachs drop!

Got It

Ok, so I have another video. I just thought it was funny today when Macie was smashing bugs on her book. The other day Macie and Blake were looking at some sort of bug, and Lyndsie smashed it with her foot. Macie is now interested in not just trying to look at or touch bugs but likes smashing them. Earlier today she was trying to smash little bugs on the back porch and then she would hold her hands up in the "where" position. (I guess I also just like hearing her voice. My favorite is when she says her name.)
