Kindergarten Program

Brown Bear. Brown Bear.   What Do You See?
Macie's entire kindergarten class had their very first performance this week.  They sang several songs and we loved watching every second.  Macie wasn't looking forward to the program because she was a BROWN BEAR and she doesn't wear brown.  Oh my!!!  So we spiced up her brown shirt by putting a pink one on underneath.  She tried to tape Ariel pictures to her shirt but I wouldn't allow it.  She had on a cute brown/pink bow that didn't show because of her ears.  No worries though...Macie clipped the bow to her ears; therefore, she had to fix her ears over and over.  OUR GIRL!!!!  I asked her if she was nervous before the show and she said, "Mom, I already performed at the Talent Show."  It's hard to believe we are in February and that May will be here before we know it.  Can she honestly be this far along in her first year of schooling?

SEE THE BOW
I had to throw in a few pictures of my sweet little Kinsley Grace!  I love my little white baby!

As I was snapping pictures, Weston went up to her without me asking or anything and leaned down to give her a kiss.  It was the sweetest gesture and LUCKILY, I got it.  Kinsley actually gave him the kiss though, an open-mouth, slobbery baby kiss on the nose.  AND IT'S PERFECT!

Time for an Update

Here's Miss Kinsley getting in the Valentine spirit.  It won't be long and we will go to her 15 month check up.  Kinsley is starting to say words.  Her favorite is THIS...and she expects us to get whatever THIS is...even if it's a donut...and then sometimes we don't get THIS and it turns into a crying fit.  She has learned far to quickly.

Weston just seems to have a good time in life.

Without fail, Kinsley will find a necklace and put it on!  She has style.
 Play dough Fun!
All the kid chairs are now on the counters because as soon as they are on the floor she is up up up!

Macie is like her momma...loves to bake sweet treats to eat.

Look closely and you will notice Weston is wearing a baby carrier which his horse is in.
I think I remember Macie always having her tongue out.
 Necklace and Baby
Kinsley wraps her baby up with a blanket and then takes it off.  She will do it over and over as she carrier her around.

Kinsley loves BLUEBONNET..3 out of 3 have gotten to ride her.

100th Day of School
Macie was excited to celebrate 100 days of school.  She insisted on a curly string shirt and loved her Fruit Loop necklace..or headband (and her hair was fixed when she left for school).  They did all sorts of fun things to celebrate the big day.

Wanted to wear her towel like her momma.
Macie often tells me after she gets out of the shower that her hair is darker just like mine.
Weston and I went to get the dogs from their haircuts and as we were exploring Petco I noticed his pants and shoes were on backwards (and as most know his undies probably were too)!
Weston wanted to walk the dogs out to the car.  The dogs were quickly marking their territories.  As I put them in the car, I turned around to see Weston was doing the exact same thing in the same spots as another lady drove by laughing. BOYS!
Is it really FEBRUARY?  We have had only one snow way back when and we have spent plenty of days outside.  We go out for sure if it's in the 40's and sunny.  This weekend we were in the 60's...and we live where?  It has been nice to enjoy the fresh air; however, we WANT a SNOW DAY!

The Rainbow Store is a great indoor place to go when it is cold.  We take full advantage of the swings.

Where else should a little one have icecream (Kinsley's first)!
We are having some things changed in the half bath.  Weston worked the whole time Scott was over here.  He asked many questions and Scott answered everyone.  Weston loved it and I think the handyman did too.

Weston asked to watch "Pappy golf."  He ask for it daily and is actually watching it right now as I do this.  The other day a golfer was using his chipping wedge so Weston worked on the same shot.

"My Hair had a Party Last Night"
Here was a quick pre-show performance.  Macie and some classmates performed in front of a huge audience and did awesome.  I was very proud of Macie for performing because she tends to shy away from things like this.  Anyway, the kids had a great time performing at their first talent show.  There were 60 total acts which baffled me but it was a joy to see these kids have fun on stage.  Macie said she wasn't one bit nervous but I was for her.  She loved it! I loved it too!  It was a great night.  She was a STAR!

After a great performance, icecream is a must.

WHAT A WEEK..
Last week was our official SICK week.  It started with Macie getting sick in her bed at midnight after the Super Bowl.  I thought she maybe ate too much but she stayed home Monday.  Kinsley woke with fever and a bad cough.  She probably was achy too because she would cry every diaper change when I lifted her legs.  I was feeling not so good but ok.  On Tuesday, I was achy and feverish. Then Macie got off the bus and as the kids said, "Macie almost fell asleep on the bus," I took one look at her and knew she was sick.  She had fever and then Weston came in the kitchen and said, "My mouth hurt." I took his temp and he had fever too.  However, Wednesday morning Weston had no fever but Macie did along with strep again.  She went to the doctor(not our normal one) and as we filled prescriptions, Weston had the sick look again and said, "My mouth hurt." Thursday morning, Weston went to the doctor and had strep.  My nice doctor looked at Kinsley and said he would check her throat because if she doesn't have strep she will.  Her throat was not looking so good. So back to the pharmacy we went for more prescriptions.  Weston ended up getting a rash from the medicine so back to the store I went for more medicine.   AND NOW WE ARE ALL HEATLHY!!!

My fridge!  My counter had Tylenol and Ibuprofen.

My sick little baby...but I did love holding her as she slept.
EVEN when sick, teeth still have to fall out.  That makes 6!
Showers and Bath are a great way to help a fussy baby!

When the medicine kicked in, Weston continued his golf game.  My dad said, "The game must go on."
 Don't they look alike.
It's so much fun to sleep in a tent.
We had a beautiful weekend, so we went to the park, took a walk, and wound up at the "man" sculpture. It's a favorite.

Valentine projects, Paint, and KINSLEY=Don't Mix

Macie and Daddy went to the store to buy Valentine's.  They came back with a box of candy for us and flowers. The chocolates are almost gone.  The kids love biting into the chocolate and seeing what is inside.
