Macie in her tutu

I made Macie her 1st birthday onesie and tutu outfit. I have tried several times to get different cute pictures of her. It isn't easy because Macie is always on the move. Anyway, I love the outfit even though she can't wear it everyday. I also love that she is so active and wanting to explore. One of my favorite things I see Macie doing is playing with her baby. She gets a blanket, one of her bibs, a swim diaper, her baby and puts them in her stroller. She is just beings a little momma all on her own without me teaching her that. She has a little bottle too that she will feed her baby. I just love her so much! WHAT JOY!

She is now in the black shoes because we have misplaced one of the leopard shoes. I know it has to be somewhere, but WHERE? Where did she hide it?

Macie doing chores

Macie received a vacuum for Christmas because she loves it every time I vacuum the house. She screams with delight. Today we were organizing her closet and deciding what toys she didn't play with right now and she helped me straighten up. I showed her how to vacuum in straight lines the way I like it. I am sure she will catch on as she gets older.

Here's where Macie goes when she is bad. JUST KIDDING! Macie is a perfect angel although she is learning how to throw some fits when she gets mad. She actually just crawled into the dogs' cage. One really cute thing Macie is doing is when I say it is time to go bye-bye she gets the dogs' leashes or tries to get them to go outside. The dogs get so excited and I have to hurt their feelings because we aren't going for a walk. She loves her dog brothers. I hope she loves her real sibling whenever she gets one.

1 Years Old and On the Move

Macie at her 1 Year Check-up
Macie did a great job last week at her doctor's appointment. She weighs 21.4 lbs (50%) and is 30 1/2 inches tall (90%). She had a great time until she had to get her shots.

Macie pushed the seat around while waiting on the doctor.

One of Macie's favorite things to do is feed the dogs. If the pantry door is left open, she is at the dog food holder in seconds. Luckily, Macie is no longer trying to eat the food herself but she is giving the dogs food by the hand full. She either puts it in their bowls or drops it on the floor. Kirby and Sebastian are in heaven.

Sunday was a beautiful day so Macie took the dogs on a walk. It was pretty difficult walking both dogs but she did ok. Macie loves being outside and cries everytime we bring her back inside. It is also pretty fun when she chases the dogs around the house with the dog leashes and tries to put them on the dogs.
Macie decided it was too hard to walk both dogs so she took her favorite dog brother for a walk down the street. Sebastian did such a great job with her. She may be the next dog whisperer.

Enjoying the day

I just found my daddy's cap.

First time in a Big GIRL Carseat
Macie talked the whole time. She loves looking out the window.

Macie Turns ONE

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Macie! Happy Birthday to you!
Looks Good! Looks Real Real Good!

ONE YEARS OLD!!! I find it unbelievable that a year could go so fast. Macie has brought so much joy to our lives. I honestly can say I have loved every minute...even the diapers as yucky as some of them have been. I feel like being a mom is my purpose in life. I love what I do! Watching Macie grow and develop has been such great fun. I remember holding Macie for the very first time and being overwhelmed with knowing she was ours. I think back to those first few weeks of waking in the night to feed her. Yes, I was tired but loved cuddly with this warm sleeping baby that needed me. As Macie grew closer to her 1st birthday, Zack and I looked on watching in delight at each new thing she learned or did: rolling over, lifting her head, laughing as she played with Sebastian, eating baby food, splashing in the bath, sitting up, crawling, pulling up, sticking her hand in the toilet, getting her 1st tooth, walking, saying mama and dada, eating dog food, being so determined to do things, playing in the swimming pool, and the list goes on and on. Oh and I love all her different smiles that she has and shows off. I just love her to pieces and completely understand a mother's love. I know how my mom feels about me and I am sure Macie will not completely understand the love I have for her until she hold her precious baby in her arms someday.

As we approached her exact time of birth, 2:30 p.m. I kept telling Zack what we were doing at that point. Sadly, Macie woke up the day before her birthday with a high fever and finally felt better on Friday. So when we were up at 4 a.m on the day of her birth because she was needing more medicine I told her about being on the way to the hospital. It was not fun being up with my sick baby girl but I did enjoy thinking back to what we were doing a year ago. Being that Macie was sick, I was so glad that I made a somewhat last minute decision to have a little birthday celebration at each grandparents' house. MACIE LOVED THE CAKE!!!! She didn't just eat a little bit... she devoured the whole things. In her words, "MMMM!" How fun and special each celebration was for her and for us!

So we are moving on into another year of her life. Abundantly Blessed is probably the best words for how Zack and I both feel about our sweet baby girl, Macie!
It's Party Time!

Make a Wish
Lyndsie holding Blake, Reagan holding Jackson, and me with Macie
The cousins were helping sing happy birthday.

Mr. Blake...you will get yours when you turn one.

Chocolate...a girl's best friend.

MMM! Macie wants to lick her plate!

THIRSTY!
All that cake makes a girl thirsty.

Pappy and Nonnie gave Macie a pink Cozy Coupe for her birthday. The top picture is before she opened it. Pappy was nice enough to put the bottom half of it together so the kids could play with it before we took it home. (We knew it wouldn't fit in our packed for car completely put together.) Down below, Jackson is pushing Macie in her car! I know we will blink and she will be 16 and driving. What a relief that we don't have to cover her car insurance now.

PARTY AT GRAMMY'S
Can I have more please? I only turn 1 once. Macie uses both hands to put her cupcake in her mouth. She doesn't want to drop a crumb!

Macie needed to try the green icing to make sure it tasted the same a the red.

Happy Birthday to me!!!

Lick every bit off before Daddy puts me in the bath!
Grammy and Papaw gave Macie a red wagon for her 1st Birthday. We will get great use out of this wagon. Macie loves it.

COUSINS
Jackson and Jillian took turns taking Macie and Finley around the block in Macie's new wagon. All four of the kids had a great time!

Burleson Christmas

Pappy and Nonnie and the grandchildren
What fun it was to watch all the little ones interact, play with each other, and share toys. All of them are on the go except our newest member, Cage, who is only 4 weeks. This was a first Christmas for Macie, Blake, and Cage. Jackson was the pro so he had to show them how unwrapping gifts was done.
Snacks for everyone during Christmas pictures on Christmas Day!
If you notice, Jackson has both socks, Macie only one, and Blake is missing both.
I loved our first Christmas as a family!
Macie loved her baby doll. She kissed it and carries it around.

Pile On

Macie meeting her new cousin.
It was so fun to have a brand new baby at the house. I forgot how little and precious newborns are. Macie loved Cage. She would try to rock his swing (she wanted in it too), she would smile, and try to touch him. She did chunk a toy at him once which made him cry. We are going to have to teach her how to be a little more gentle.

SNACK TIME!
The kids had fun during snack time. They shared snacks and drinks.

After the snow melted, the kids bundles up for a wagon ride. They had fun. This is probably the only time we will be able to get them all in the wagon since they grow so fast. (Cage just posed for the picture. It was too cold for him to be outside.)

GO FASTER!

McClung Christmas

Grammy, Papaw and the grandchildren
We had a wonderful time this year in Tyler for Christmas! It was so much fun to spend time with the entire family. It was a joy to watch the kids open presents and play together! I wish the time just wouldn't go so fast!
What fun it is to have to sweet babies growing up together and sharing lots of first. It could mean trouble someday but I don't mind. I am glad Macie and Finley will have each other.

Jackson and Macie
Jackson is so good with the little ones. Macie loved playing on Jackson's back!

Jillian and Macie
Both girls had on the Christmas dresses. Jillian was so sweet because she looked at what Macie was going to wear the day before and said she had a dress that was similar. They both looked so pretty! Jillian is a great cousin to grow up watching.

Handmade booster seat
Macie thought she was so big sitting at the table!

Christmas present from Grammy and Papaw
Macie loves her horse. She would rather push it around right now than ride or rock on it.

BUBBLES
I just love this picture! Macie loved Grammy blowing the bubbles all around her.
