Cousins Come to Town

Jackson, Cage, and Brandt came to stay with Nonnie and Pappy. Macie and Blake were beyond thrilled to spend time with Jackson and Cage. Eventually Weston, Brandt, and Blair with be just as thrilled to play with each other or chase the older cousins. How much fun to watch them play, listen to their sweet conversations, and enjoy life through their eyes. One of my favorite moments was when the kids prayed before lunch. Jackson started by saying. "Thank you, God, for this hot dog." Macie followed with thanking God for her family, friends, and many blessings. Cage thanked God for his Mom, Dad, and Brandt. Jackson told him he left him out. Blake finished by saying, "Thank you, God for Batman and Superman. Amen." Then he said kind of laughing, "I thanked God for Batman and Superman." As they were praying I was thinking I wish I was videoing this and then after the prayer I really wish I would have videoed it.
Nonnie was reading the kids a book which they listened to intently.  When it was over they said they were going back into the closet to read their books.  They found one of Mom's books but were making up their own stories.
Back to their own books.  I think it is funny that the kids wind up in the closet playing because that is where we would always play when we went to my Meme and Pappy's house when we were kids.

We told the kids they needed to potty and wash their hands before they ate lunch and made ghost.  It was a race to the finish line...well the POTTY that is!  The boys all started going at once and Macie was probably wishing she could somehow be a part of that but had to wait until the boys were finished.

 The ghost were a success.
There was a lot of licking and sneaking "eyes" while they made the ghost.
What a beautiful fall day for races and playing outside.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to an awesome pumpkin patch the other day. I loved it instantly.  Macie and Weston enjoyed playing with friends, running through the maze, and  petting the animals.  I tried to make them sit for some photos which isn't easy when there is so much to see.

Best Friends...or sisters because that is what they say they are.

Throwing his pumpkin through the fence.  If something looks like a ball, it is a guarentee that it will be thrown.

October

BLINK..and it is fall!  I love this time of year!  The weather is awesome, we have fun Fall crafts to make, yummy foods to make (THANKS TO PINTEREST), and it is great spending time with family and friends.  However, I am a little behind on what has been going on so here are a few things that we have been doing.

FINAL time to play in the water.  Macie and Weston just had to turn the hose on for one more outside get drenched time.  After they played outside, their lips looked purple and they were shivering so they warmed up in a bubble bath.

This past weekend felt a little more like a winter day but I loved it all the same. We started the weekend with Great Wolf Lodge on Friday. Saturday we went to a pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins(I need to upload pics from my phone) and went to Hayden's birthday party. Sunday we had another birthday for the Hill twins and then had Brandon and Amanda and their precious girls over for dinner. Aunt Barbara came too so we were thrilled.

GREAT WOLF LODGE!!!! CAN I SAY FUN!!!  We had a wonderful day at Great Wolf Lodge.  I love that we get to use the one day passes and enjoy the water park. This time was even more fun than our last experience.  Macie was able to ride a big ride, she went down the individual slides multiple times, and she even let the big bucket of water splash down on her. That bucket of water is powerful.  I am surprised it didn't knock Blake or her over.  Macie and Blake went nonstop and we practically had to make them stop for lunch.  Both were super sad to leave.  Weston and Blair had a good time in the water too!  However, when we got ready to leave Macie was disappointed because she thought we were spending the night.  I told her we didn't pay to stay the night so she keeps telling us that she is going to do chores to earn money to sleep at Wolf Lodge.

A LONG WAY UP but Weston mastered all the stairs.

After a fun birthday party with Macie's sweet friend, Hayden we got home and Zack lit the fire.  Macie was dancing around and having a great time.  She said things like:, "I have an idea.  We could have a sleep night in the living room. We can roast marshmallows.  It will be nice and cozy. (we have been saying we need to do this)."  So we had her start brushing her teeth and we brought our mattress in the living room and hers too. When she saw that we were getting ready she was beside herself with excitement.  With not even a hint of sleep in her voice she jumped on her bed and said she was sleepy.  Then she jumped up and got toys for us to place with just in case we woke up in the night. We watch a Jake and surprisingly she was fast asleep by nine.  She loved it and has been asking nonstop to have another "sleep night."
The next morning this little man drank his bottle by the fire...we are going to have to start working on getting rid of it but when he sees his bottle in the morning he laughs.
Weston was pouring his bottle out and wiping it up.  At one point he had both hands on the wash cloth and it looked like he was really scrubbing the floor.
Weston likes to ride "Bluebonnet."

Macie is holding Taylor, her second cousin.  Miss Taylor is the sweetest little thing with more hair than I thought possible on a baby.  Macie loved every second with her. She kept asking to take Taylor into her room.  She wants to babysit Taylor again.
Monday morning when Weston woke up I told him that we needed to go find his sis.  She was snuggled up in my bed.  He reached down for her to hold him.  It just melted my heart.  They  cuddled for a few minutes (I was even able to grab the camera)! Weston sure does love his Macie.  She loves him too and loves to go in his room "to check on him" which usually wakes him up from sleep.
So I thought we would paint our pumpkins which was fun for Macie.  Don't ask me what I was thinking when I thought I could get Weston's handprint on his with Macie's paint. WRONG move!!!  Good thing eating this paint wasn't harmful or I hope it wasn't.  We had paint everywhere.  Then he became so frustrated because he wanted the paint. I settled him down by letting him  holding a brush while I held him and the pumpkin.

Weston loves balls.  He plays with them nonstop.  Macie set up place for me to cheer while they played.  Of course, Weston crawled up on the ottoman to try jumping.  Crazy kid!
Here is a video of Weston pouring his milk out and cleaning it up.
