Woohoo, it is May!

May started and is now almost over.  It seems the months and days just go faster and faster.  We have really enjoyed the month of May.  My mom came for a weekend and then Zack's parents came.  It's so green here and I find it breath-taking.  The temperature is pretty amazing but we are going to be in the 50's tomorrow and that is just a little hard to wrap my brain around knowing the pools open this weekend.  You won't catch us in there.  May also means the end of Kindergarten and on Thursday Macie will finish her year.  I have loved watching her read and grow throughout the year and I couldn't imagine her starting Kinder but WHAT now she is a first grader. I need to keep my eyes wide open with no blinking or else she will be walking the stage.  Weston has loved taking swim  lessons and is quite the diver;however, I am having to work on him only diving in the deep end.  He still has his love for golf and now fishing. I will say he seems to be quite good at both (maybe that is bragging a little)!  Kinsley Grace loves to say my name and then gibber gabber about something.  I love it!  She says several words and even puts two words together here and there.  She is finally getting teeth.  For the longest time she only had 4.  Now she has 4 top, two bottom and back molars.  They all seem to be a little crooked and I think she looks just adorable.  I still have people comment on her blond hair and complexion but I couldn't imagine her any other way.
NOW let's get to SUMMER!!!

Macie and our sweet neighbor/friend dressed alike...sort of but that was their plan.
Daddy is gonna get us but it is so much fun digging in the mulch.
 JUST LIKE DADDY!!!
Daddy was so nice to let Weston push the real mower even though he was doing great with his own.  The best thing about this sweet moment was that Weston had to have a crunchy sandwich (toasted) just like Zack even though he had already eaten his whole lunch.
Kinsley is not the best eater but at least she likes yogurt.

SOMEONE found an old pacifier (newborn) and likes to chew on it.  The thumb is still the favorite.

Grammy and Papaw came in town for a nice Spring visit.  I think they enjoyed their time with these three crazy kids.  We enjoyed having them here.
 TRICKS

Grammy and Weston got to play in the new basement.  Weston loves to tackle, tackle, and tackle some more.  He is sometimes a little too rough.  Good thing Grammy can take it because his little sister shouts her high pitch "Weston is bugging me" scream.

Weston watches all the big boys climb incorrectly on the play equipment and has to do the exact same thing.

We showed off one of our favorite parks to Papaw, Grammy and Rosie.  There is a great walking path by the stream and around the lake.  It is just beautiful.  The kids think it is great to try to cross the stream on the rocks.  Weston gave up on that and just walked back and forth even though it was cold.

Papaw was able to read to the kids a few books before school.  He was quite animated and the kids loved it.

We set the the GIANT tv up on the table so we could watch a show. GIANT...because Zack needed it to be that way.
Here are a few of our last pictures with the workers.  They were great with Weston allowing him to work along with them and they did a fantastic job on our basement.  Unfortunately, the couch we ordered didn't fit down the stairway so what better option than cutting the wall.

THIS BIG girl climbs up and pushes buttons all the time.

 ALL BOY!
This is one of the best climbing trees.  When Macie saw this pictures she begged to go to it.
THIS IS A DOUBLE BOO BOO from a while back.  Kinsley kept tripping over her own feet.
 JUST LIKE MACIE
Kinsley is in one of Macie's dresses and walking Kirby just like Macie used to do.

ONE warm day in the 80s=playing in the water

What seems to be the problem?

Fishing has been a favorite thing do for these kids.  They love it!  Daddy and Wetson have gotten in a lot of Daddy Son time which they both love.  Weston is constantly asking to go.  The night we all went, Macie kept debating because she wanted to play with friends but she wanted to fish.  She not only held all the worms but caught a "one eyed fish."  Weston caught one too.  I CAUGHT KINSLEY...and that is no joke.  She made a mad dash for the dock while I was casting for the big kids and I caught her about a foot before she took the dive.  She was all GIGGLES.  Both Weston and Macie can cast really well.  Weston even reels in his own fish which his daddy beams about.  Weston ask to go fishing now all the time and he loves it.

There is nothing wrong with fishing in a dress...have to love  my girly girl.

As soon as Zack had his drill, Weston had his.  He loves to do work!I love that he loves to do Man Work.

RAIN!  RAIN!  RAIN!  We get a good bit of rain here but Texas seems to be beating us right now.  Anyway, we had another rainy day but it was warm out so it was the perfect day to play in the rain.  Kinsley absolutely loved every second.

Nonnie came for a visit one weekend when Zack was out of town.  Macie wanted to have a slumber party with her.  They weren't quite asleep here but they were on their way.
We went to the MAGIC HOUSE!  It is such an amazing place for kids to explore, play and have fun.

We have been to the Magic House before, but we never have gone to the outside construction zone because when we have gone it has been too cold.  We spent about an hour just here!  Weston was in his element.

Kinsley was in her element in the nursery.  She loves babies.  Macie thought it was quite fun to print birth certificates.

Macie and Nonnie did something extra special for Nonnie's Mother's Day gift!  They got pedicures together.  They enjoyed their girl time and Macie tends to pick polish off but she didn't this time because she loved that her paint changed colors.

Nonnie brought a book about different feet and it has been quite a hit in our household.  The kids like to decide which animal feet they would choose.

Daddy took Weston fishing while we watched on the bank.  Macie, the artist, just worked on her drawings.  We did see a water snake that put a little fear in Macie.

What is better than being a MOTHER?  I thank God for the three blessing I get to love, teach, guide, watch grow, and share life with along side their daddy.  Time is precious and my time with them means everything to me.  I thank God that I get to be their Mom and stay at home with them too.  I treasure their snuggles, kisses, laughter, silliness, and just about everything about them.  This Mother's Day I had "a moment" because I was cleaning up dishes thinking about a mom (Landon's wife).  Mother's Day took on a whole new meaning for her this year and as I emailed her and she emailed back, I just cried knowing that she now is doing motherhood without the support/help of her husband.  I am thankful I have Zack here to parent with me and I am very thankful we have our parents' love and support too.

Kinsley and I have sure enjoyed our Wednesday of it just being the two of us.  She has been a trooper because she has to endure some shopping each Wednesday as well.  However, I don't think she seems to mind because Kinsley winds up with a sucker.  On our Wednesdays together, we also get to just do some good one on one playing.  Last week, we ran to Target to grab a couple of things and we spotted these $1 sunglasses.  She wore them throughout the store and for the rest of the day.  Kinsley likes to wear them a lot and I don't blame her.  Kinsley is a whole lot of fun and a little bit of a handful.  She is almost 18 months going on 3.  It seems she wants to be just like her brother and sister and even though that is fun to watch I want to keep her little.

Weston wanted to be "SCARY!"  He wore all his stickers to the gym and gave all the ladies a good laugh.
Weston and Kinsley sat on the edge of the porch and threw the rocks that are there.  They were there for over 30 minutes and I just watched and listened to them talk.  Kinsley tried climbing and fell twice but after being consoled she wanted right back down.

THE BIG GIRL SEAT...after 18 months Kinsley is now facing forward.  I hope this works for the car rides to Texas because she was always entertained by watching her sister.  After her first rip in her seat (and a change of clothing), Kinsley got home and got right back in the old seat.  I think she was having a hard time giving it up.  I also think this Mama is having a hard time with giving up the little seat too.  All three were brought home from the hospital in the car seat and at the time it was hard to imagine that precious, tiny bundle growing out of the car seat.
We (or should I say I with strong encouragement from Zack) took an even bigger step and sold all my baby stuff although it bummed Weston and Kinsley out a bit because they loved playing with it all.  After all of it sold to a lady who really needed it, I had seller's remorse.  Then I was like, "We can have another one.  A baby doesn't need all that stuff to survive."  On top of that at church on Sunday, a precious baby boy was sound asleep on his daddy's shoulder.  I turned to Zack and said, "This is who I don't need in front of me.  What's one more?!?!"

We were off to a PIG ROAST for a work event for Zack.  The kids had a fantastic time.  The rain stopped as we got there and past us while we were there.  There was a fun bounce house, face painting, balloon designs, and a lady who did silly portraits.  It was so much fun!  I will say that looking at that pig makes me want to gag.

Weston was the first person to ask for a sword and yes, she said, "What do you want?"  Then she made a belt.  Every boy of many different ages followed along.  They used the swords to attack one another and save the princesses in the "CASTLE" aka bounce house.  Both of my big kids were sweating as we left the park.

Queeny Park has they really neat looking rock, underground building looking things that have tunnels, slides, and stairs.  The kids loved it.

Dressed in her sister's dress.
These are the fish Weston caught completely on his own.  He really can't get enough of fishing.  He told me this morning that he and I could go.  Daddy wouldn't mind.
