36 WEEKS

The top picture is 32 weeks. What a difference a month made. Below is 36 weeks.

Macie's pig chair. She is going to love it!
The dresser finally arrived. I have it filled with all Macie's little things. Below are pictures of the crib and chair which I have put on before but thought I would show you the whole room.

I absolutely can't believe I am in the 9th month. Wow, it seems like yesterday I was laying in bed waiting until morning so I could take a pregnancy test. I guess we have proof that we are having a baby because my belly is big. I went for my 36 week appt. on Monday and will be going on Mondays until Macie is born. I can't wait to meet her. I wonder what she will look like? I think Zack and I have everything ready. I have mine and Macie's bags somewhat packed. This weekend I am going to talk Zack into putting the car seat in the car. I don't think she will come this early but I keep hoping she comes before January. My doctor told me to plan for the week after so I won't be disappointed. TOO LATE...I have it all planned out in my head.

Caldwell Baby Shower

Last Friday was my school baby shower. It was hosted by my Andrea, Heather, Camden, and Kay! It was lots of fun. I got several things I needed. Zack and I had fun looking through all the gifts when I got home. I am now just trying to find a place to put everything. I really need to get organized.

Macie's due date is quickly approaching. I am 34 weeks so it won't be long. I went to the doctor on Monday and everything looks great. One neat thing that I felt last Saturday and Zack got to feel today was Macie having the hiccups. When I woke up she had them. She still seems to be moving around a lot and I keep thinking she has to be out of space but I guess not.

Baby Shower

This weekend I had my baby shower and it was amazing. Everything about it from the diaper cake, the flowers, the food and Sprinkles cupcakes to the invitations was perfect. I am overwhelmed with how special the baby shower was. I had really great friends and family hosting it. I can't thank Kelley, Anne, Kay, Lyndsie, and Barbara enough for all they did. On top of that, we got some really great gifts from our friends and family. I can't wait to put everything into use once Macie arrives. Once we got home from the baby shower, Zack, Mom and I had so much fun looking through everything again. All we need now is our little baby! It won't be long!!!

Macie

We are one step closer to having Macie's room finished. We got her letters for her name this week. I think they turned out great. I also love our chair and table. Zack's Mom covered the chair and made the tablecloth. I think Macie will love her pink and brown room. I can't wait to rock my little girl in the rocker and to put her in her bed. I know the next few weeks will go by so quickly which makes me excited because I can't wait to meet "our gift" and see who she looks like. I do love being pregnant. Every morning when I roll out of bed I think, "I'm pregnant," and I smile.

3rd Trimester

28 weeks....I am in my 3rd trimester. The time seems to be flying by. I went to the doctor today. All went well. The heartbeat was around 130. I am measuring where I should be. I will now start going to the doctor every 2 weeks until 36 weeks. The doctor asked me if I was having contractions and said I may be feeling them because it is common throughout the 3rd trimester. I almost panicked because that makes it more real. However, she also said some women feel nothing until the end. It will be interesting to see what that feels like when it happens. For now I will just enjoy Macie kicking and moving. She must be doing Turbo Kick exercises. Zack and I are amazed at how hard some of the kicks or moments feel.

Papaw and Grammy came for a visit and brought us our baby gift. I was so excited I had to put it together immediately. Zack didn't want to take it around the block for a practice stroll nor did he think we should install the car seat in the car. I guess that would be rushing it a bit! I love Macie's two new baby items and can't wait to put the stroller and car seat into use. Zack is a little nervous about all the baby stuff because we have to find a place to put it. I think the house will fill up quickly.

24 Weeks

It is hard to believe I am at 24 weeks. ..only 16 weeks to go or less if Little Macie decides to come early. I went to the doctor today and she measured my belly and listened to the heartbeat (140's). As I was sitting in the room waiting on the doctor, my shirt would move because she was kicking. It was fun to watch. I feel her moving all the time and love it. I especially love feeling her during the school day when things seem a little stressful.

Here is another one of my maternity shirts that I have. I love the pants, too! They are so comfortable with my expanding belly.

We are on our way to getting the nursery ready. My baby bedding came in and I am so pleased. Now I just have to get the dresser which is on backorder and some decorations for the walls. We also have to get fabric for the chair and table. I hope to have it all ready by November. I love going in her room and just looking at the bed. I imagine her in it and think, "Wow, I am going to have a daughter!"

I thought I would show off one of my maternity outfits...bargain price of $12.
"FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!" My new students were excited to hear I was having a baby girl and my last year's kids wanted to touch my belly. I am just thrilled to finally have a pregnant belly.
Mom and I told Zack that we were going to click on every pink thing we saw! I did click on lots of pink things, but I was trying to think practically because we need the big things to work for the next one. Should I even be thinking about the next one....I don't even have my first little baby yet!
"Pink is my Signature Color!" is what little Macie may be saying. She will be able to quote Steel Magnolias as soon as she talks.

Halfway There!

I am 20 weeks today so Zack and I are halfway closer to meeting our baby girl. I went to the doctor today and have gained 4 more pounds which I think is very noticeable in my stomach. I also heard the heartbeat again and that is such an amazing sound!

It's a GIRL!!!

It's A GIRL!!!

Tuesday, August 5, 2008

Kirby and Sebastian are so anxious for Friday. They can't decide if we are having an "Ernest or Misty." (Those are the names they have picked... not us!) They are both a little nervous about who is going to take their place as #1 priority. I am counting down until Friday at 10. I plan on drinking a coke and having a full bladder because I hear it helps for the sonogram.
Kirby and Sebastian are exhausted because of all the anticipation!

16 Weeks Pregnant

Why does my belly always look so much smaller in a picture? I read the baby grows a lot in the next few weeks so maybe the difference will be more noticeable. My pants are tight now so I know my belly has to be growing. 2 weeks until we find out if we are going to have a boy or a girl.

Kirby and Sebastian have loved having Uncle Buster at their house. They weren't so sure at first but they are having a great time. I think Buster wants to live with us but we told him he can only visit. He does love the daily walks!
They all have to hang out with me and make sure they get their quality time!

Since Sheldon and Reagan and Lyndsie and Josh have a blog, I thought we should have one, too. We don't have much to report, but with a baby on the way, I thought I needed to figure out how this worked. The biggest news is we find out whether we are having a BOY or a GIRL on August 8th. At that point, I can finally pick and buy the nursery bedding that I have continually kept looking for on the internet...what theme we will go with is undecided because Zack has voiced his opinion and I am not agreeing with what he wants to do. I guess we will wait and see.
