Box...New Car

On my way to have dinner with Beau and Jamie. We are so glad they are our new neighbors.
On my way to meet Michael since his mommy stays home, too.
Macie loves the Huggies diaper box. She uses it as her car when we push her around in it and new little hang out. This box is her new entertainment! She giggles when the box is on top of her. Macie absolutely loves it!

Cousins

Jackson and Jillian got to come to our house and spend the night this week! It was so much fun. I am not sure who had more fun..Jackson & Jillian, Macie, or ME! They were perfect and were so much fun! They also did a great job helping with Macie! I am so glad that Macie will have them to look to as she grows up!

Jillian fed Macie her dinner the first night and fed her some of her cereal the next morning. She also helped with a diaper and picking out everything Macie would wear.

Jackson gave Macie a bottle when she woke up from her nap after they arrived!

Karaoke was a favorite!

Jackson sang and played the guitar! He did a great job!

Jackson and Jillian made "crystal or glass" with sugar. Jackson told Jillian what a prediction was and then we predicted what would happen to the sugar as it was heated. Jillian's glass piece was very thick but most of it turned out very thin.

Jillian made the cupcakes, both kids filled the cupcake holders, and then we all decorated them once they were ready. The kids did a lot of taste testing with the icing beforehand. They also mixed food coloring to come up with some of the variety of cupcakes. They were very creative when they decorated them. They even put some of their "crystal" in the cupcakes. Macie was trying to grab the cupcakes. She wanted to have a lick too!

Once Macie woke up from her nap, she was super excited to see that her cousins were at her house. Jillian wanted Macie to wear her tutu and red bow.

Jillian picked out which swimsuit Macie would were and got her ready. Notice that Jillian even put Macie's sunglasses on her head. She was stylin'.

Feeding the Ducks

After the ducks went to the other side of the pond, we threw the remaining bread to the catfish and turtles. There were lots of fish and about 8 turtles around the area we were throwing the bread.

Swimming

While Macie was napping, Jackson and Jillian filled up water balloons and then threw them at me! They got to chose how full to fill them so we had a variety of sizes.

After we got back from lunch, Jillian dressed Macie in the outfit she picked out the night before. Macie looked cute and Jillian did a great job dressing her all by herself.

Tutu

Macie didn't want her tutu on her head. She knows that isn't where it belongs!

Macie's Grammy made Macie a tutu to play in the other day when she was here! Macie liked it a lot. We may be asking Grammy to make a few more as Macie gets older! How much fun it is to have a girl!
School has started back for the teachers. Although it seems a little strange that I will not be meeting new students this year and teaching all the math I can squeeze in during the school day, I love being home with Macie! I have always wanted to be a stay-at-home mom and Zack and I always agreed before we had Macie that that is what we both wanted. I am so thrilled and thankful it has worked out...Dream come true!

Best Friends

I think Sebastian and Macie are going to always like one another as she grows up. It is so funny to watch her reach for him when he walks past her or laugh when she grabs his tail. Today when Macie finished eating breakfast I sat her beside Sebastian and he put her head on her. I didn't pose them...I promise! I am also thinking Macie looks just like Zack in this picture.

Good news...Macie rolled from her back to her tummy today right when Zack got home from work so we both go to see it. I knew she could do it but I think she wanted to take her time doing it!

7 Months

Hanging out with Tate!

Macie is now 7 months old and I am thinking that I will blink and she will be 1. The other night I was putting her to bed and was hurrying because of a silly tv show. Usually Zack puts her to bed but we go through the same routine...read a book, listen to music, and rock. Well, I heard my show come back on so I put her in bed a bit fast. Then I heard her crying which usually she never does when going to bed. So I went back in her room and she was crying in her blanket. I picked her up and rocked her a bit more. As I was rocking her, I had "a moment." I thought I am crazy to be rushing to get to a show that won't matter to me tomorrow. So I enjoyed holding her a little longer, smelling her clean hair, and just enjoying the moment. I put her in Macie back in bed and she gave me her big smile where she lifts her legs at the same time. She was ready to go to sleep and she did.
