12 Weeks

I am thrilled to know that I am 1 trimester down from meeting the newest McClung. I am feeling better and better. My energy level seems back to normal. The other day I cleaned house like I did before I got pregnant meaning I was faster and actually enjoyed it! I wasn't just thinking that I needed a nap. My belly seems to be getting bigger which I can't complain about other than pants are tight so I have gotten out my bella bands to help! We compared this belly to my Macie belly. This belly looks about like my 16-20 week belly.

I went to the doctor today and all seems to be just wonderful! Zack and I got to hear the sweet sound of our baby's heart. The baby has a heart rate of 160 bpm. So BOY OR GIRL has been our debate over the last few weeks. I am about 70% sure it is a girl. My nausea and clear face have made me think boy since that was different than Macie but for some reason I feel stronger that it is a girl. One night I woke thinking we have to come up with a girl name now since we don't have one! So I did some searching on the Internet for about an hour the next day. I have also read the wives' tales, taken a pregnancy quiz, and read the Chinese calender. All seem to point to girl! The only other reason I think it is a girl is because before we got pregnant I just felt like we would have a girl. Ask Macie and she is very clear that it is a "SISTER!" All in all God is in control and he has already blessed us with what we are supposed to have. More importantly a healthy baby is all we need. So we will wait until the 20 week check-up to find out.

Macie singing the ABC's

WATCH OUT WORLD...Macie has talent! I know I sure can't carry a tune but think it would be wonderful if Macie will be able to as she grows up! My dancing skills aren't so good either so hopefully she will have more rhythm than me!Last night she was singing and doing a little dancing while trying to keep up with the music. She sang the song about 3 times and I was glad to get some of it on video! Some of the songs she sings are the ABC's, Old McDonald, and There are 7 Days in a Week!

Stock Show Videos

Fort Worth Stockshow

Today we were off to the Fort Worth Stock show. The weather was amazing and that made it even better. Nonnie went with us to see all the animals. Macie loved it and I loved watching her experience it. We are going to have to continue going back each year. I just asked her what the best part was and she said, "Big Cow." However, the petting zoo was the best part. She loved the ducks. She wasn't even a tiny bit afraid of the animals but she didn't like the men who were dressed up like cows at all!
Macie and Nonnie stood the side and watched the horses for 10 minutes while we waited in line. Macie was so anxious for her turn and even cried once because she was ready to go into the horse area. However, once the horses started moving, she had a fear grip on the saddle and eventually began to cry. They were walking pretty fast. Daddy had to take her off. Her $5 ride lasted about 2 minutes tops. Macie had just finished petting a duck that ended up trying to get her with his beak. It didn't scare her off. She kept going right back to the ducks when we would try to get her to pet and feed other animals.

When the man said it was time to leave, Macie told me she wanted to "stay here."

Macie like petting the goats and they wanted the ice cream cone of food that Daddy was holding.

Macie loved riding the merry-go-round.

I couldn't believe how big some of the rabbits were or how many different kinds of rabbit there were that were being shown....I also didn't know that rabbits were shown in a stock show.

Shoes

Macie loves shoes. She likes to try on mine and her daddies. I get nervous when she picks out my high heels or tall boots. We always help her walk in them but I am thinking an ankle could be broken any second. Nonnie bought Macie these plastic shoes either before she was born or right after. She has some at her house, too! Macie loves putting them on and walking around...quite the lady. However, she jumps in them and again I get a little nervous. When I was a little girl and my Memaw would let us pick out a toy this type of shoe is what I always got. I loved wearing heels and the sound they would make. They would often crack because I would wear them so much! So Macie is like her mommy when it comes to shoes!!

Macie is also showcasing her big "CHEESE" smile!

If you notice the dog bowls, they are overflowing with food. I give them a 1/2 cup of food in the morning and evening; however, Macie feeds them like there is no tomorrow. They love her for it and chomp it down as fast as possible before I can get ahold of it and put it back in the container.

Macie is also a huge fan of her rainboots (a present from Grammy)! She is working on riding her new scooter. For the longest time we had a cousin's scooter but finally returned it. With some birthday money from Aunt Barbara, we picked this one out. Well, we were actually in Acedemy and walked by the toys. She got on it and was riding down the aisle! This is silly but I love seeing her tiny little panties, too! What a big girl she is! You get so used to patting the diapered bottom but no more of that for this little one!

BABY #2

Being pregnant is one of the things! I had belly envy before I was pregnant and now am excited to know that I have a baby growing inside me at such a fast rate. I have found Zack and I are just excited about this little one and both enjoying reading what happens each week of development. I am a little over 9 weeks pregnant and have a small baby bump. This week I have even felt like as soon as I wake up I have the bump...not just throughout the day as I eat and all! I told myself I wouldn't complain but have just a little because I am more tired than I remember with Macie and certain foods seem to do an injustice to my stomach. It seems that I have nausea throughout the night too! The fastest way for me to fall asleep is on my belly but that is already uncomfortable but the good thing is I have adjusted quickly and can fall fast asleep on my side. Zack I am sure is excited about added pillows. I love this little baby inside me and daydream about when I will meet our baby. I also go back and forth on whether we are having a boy or girl! Either will be perfect by me! Macie, I am sure doesn't totally get it, but yesterday when she woke from her nap we were cuddling. She said, "Baby tiny." I told her the baby was really tiny. She lifted my shirt and kissed my belly. Then she said, "Tickle it," and tickled my belly! I hope she is this sweet when we have the real thing at home with us! We do ready her Big Sister book almost daily.

8 Weeks Now
BELOW-8 Weeks pregnant with Macie
I had to take two shots on my 8 week belly. I took one at night and my belly looked double this size. I am not complaining because I love a pregnant belly. However, when I looked at it I thought TWINS. Then of course, I started hoping that it would be twins much to Zack's dismay. I kept telling him we could handle it. ONE BABY it is and I will take that sweet blessing too!

4 Weeks-This is right after I found out I was pregnant.

MACIE'S BIG NEWS

We are super excited to be adding to our family! I can't wait to see whether Macie will have a brother or sister. I am due Aug. 13th but am hoping the baby comes a little early! We are only have one little baby even though I was secretly hoping for twins. We went to the doctor on Monday and she said all looked great. I loved seeing our sweet baby on the screen! I will update a belly pic soon!

Macie's 2nd Birthday

Happy 2nd Birthday, my precious daughter. So for your first birthday you had strep throat and your 2nd you had the flu but that didn't stop you from singing Happy Birthday to yourself and blowing out your candle. I was glad you were on the tailend of the flu when we celebrated your big day since we have talked about it for so long. Macie brings such joy to my life. Everyday I watch her grow, change, and be herself. I love hearing her sweet voice talk and sing. I love watching her play with her babies, kitchen, and other toys. I love when she hugs and kisses me! And I still love reading her stories before bedtime and reminding her that I will love her always always!
Birthday Party Day

Breakfast burritoes

Macie loved unwrapping presents.

My attempt at Minnie Mouse cupcakes...I saw them on the internet and thought super easy. It was a little bit harder than I thought. Thanks to my dad for helping me finish them up!

Grammy got MAcie a sleeping bag to match her tent that she got for Christmas!
ELMO is one of Macie's favorite characters.

Quick pose after all the presents are unwrapped!

I am so glad Macie's cousins were at her birthday! They made it extra special.

Happy Birthday, Macie!

Silly girl

Christmas 2010

Before Christmas Lyndsie invited us over to do some Christmas crafts. I was curious to see how it would turn out but it was GREAT! I can't wait to do it again next year. The kids had a lot of fun painting. They also made hand Christmas trees. They loved putting the paint on their hands. I think this will be a fun tradition!
Macie painting her ornament. It ended up looking more brown than red and green. Macie mixed her colors very well!
Nonnie helping Blake
Macie and Blake were very serious about painting their two ornaments. They each painted one for Nonnie's Christmas tree and one for their own tree.

Christmas decorating is hard work for these monkeys!

Leaving milk and cookies for Santa

Christmas morning
I was so excited that I woke up bright and early. It seemed like it took Macie forever to wake up. I know as she gets older this will change!

Macie didn't realize the night before that it was Christmas, but she got the whole idea of it when she finally was able to open presents!
Santa brought Macie a kitchen! She really likes it. It will get hours and hours of play time! Good job, Santa putting it together! I know that it took 4 hours out of your busy schedule. We are glad it made it to our house on time!

Macie and Finley were about to go outside and play with their big cousins, Jackson and Jillian.

Cousins!
These two don't get to see each other enough but when they are together they have a good time!

Kylan Christopher
The family picture wasn't very successful this year...Macie wasn't in the picture taking mood which made me a little upset. I should have grabbed some candy. That would have saved the day but I didn't even think about it at the time! We have our newest addition, Kylan with us! What a sweet baby boy! The boys are out numbering the girls!

Macie opening her kitty cat that we named Gracie after Grammy's cat!

Burleson Christmas
We had a wonderful time with all the family being together. With Sheldon and his family living in Germany, being together is rare but I love every minute even if it seems really wild with 4 little ones playing together! Watching the kids play will always be a memory I cherish!
Macie got a trike for Christmas! I think she is really going to like it once she gets the hang of it because she always seems envious of her friends in the neighborhood when they are on their bikes. (CUTE ELMO slippers were in her stocking!)
Being silly in the bed! Macie and Blake were pretend sleeping!
Macie has shown serious signs that it is time to potty over the last few weeks. She has gone in her potty before baths, when she sees her neighbor friends going, and a few other times. I was going to wait until after Christmas to work on it because I figured it would be wild. Macie's cousin, Jackson has been going potty for a little while so she had a good example to watch. They took turns going, clapping, and were rewarded with candy. All three cousins are in the bathroom doing the potty dance, I guess. It is silly but it makes me a little sad to pick Macie up and feel no diaper. What a big girl! Of course, I can't complain because we won't have to buy diapers. We have gone cold turkey on diapers but do put them on a night. I haven't braved that yet but will soon.

Crossing her left while going potty. IMRESSIVE!
