GONE FISHING!

Zack and Macie went to Cabela's on Saturday and bought two new fishing poles. They bought better quality poles since Macie's Barbie pole lasted about a second.  Macie was talking every one's ears off because she was so excited to go fishing.  It was a beautiful spring day to spend outside. Zack did spend a good bit of time untangling fishing string.  It made me laugh because I thought back to all the fishing trips we had growing up (almost every summer).  I think my dad spent a good bit of time untangling us and helping get our poles ready.  I remember my dad  showed lots of patience just like Zack did.
To my surprise, Macie was very brave!!! She held the worms like it wasn't a big deal.  She put it on her face and on her brother's head!  She actually did more worm holding than fishing.
 FISHING IS HARD WORK!
Weston loved his "stick."  He didn't want anyone touching his fishing pole.  Each time we did anything he would bust out in big tears and cry like we haven never seen.  Finally we cut off his hook and let him just walk around and stick the fishing pole in the water.  He was happy just doing that.  On Sunday our neighbors were going fishing and he again wanted their poles and had a massive crying fit when he didn't get them.  I guess he loves fishing!

It was so fun to see this mom duck and her 5
ducklings!  They swam all around the pond.

After Weston having a couple of bites and Macie, Zack reeled in the first fish.  Macie said, "Dad you caught my very first fish."  She was very excited.  He had a bite and we were going to let her reel in the second fish but it got away.  Weston wasn't quite as interested in the fish as we thought he would be.
Macie and her daddy went fishing on Sunday while Weston and I hung out at the house.  We thought it might make the fishing experience peaceful for them and all the other people fishing.  Zack caught another fish which Macie was excited about until she held the string and it wiggled!  Zack said she screamed and the look of fear is obvious!

Papaw and Grammy came for a visit!  We were excited to have them come!  We are always thankful they come because we don't get to Tyler as much as I wish we could!

Weston loved sitting in Papaw's lap.  They read books!  One book showed a deer.  Weston hopped down, ran to get his gun, and came back to shoot it. He even included the shooting sounds.
Papaw read books and put both Macie and Weston to bed. I think he was a little nervous but he was successful!  This was the first time he had ever put them to bed!  VERY SWEET!
I found Weston protecting Macie's babies while she was at school!  He is going to be a great big brother.

Sweet Things

What a wonderful number 3 is!!!  We are so excited to be adding our final addition to the family!  I was wondering if we could possibly be adding additions but today we confirmed that we have one healthy baby due on November 26th!  So the day we found out we were very shocked and had to let it set in.  I kept looking at the test over and over thinking "that is a positive."  Macie's reaction was absolutely perfect and I need to put the sweet video on to show you.  She was beyond thrilled that she is going to have a "sister named Belle" and that "I can have the baby at home because she has her doctor kit."  So it looks like we are all set other than it might be a boy!  My feeling is boy because my symptoms are the same as they were with Weston...overall I feel really good!  Zack had to let the news really set in but he is excited for our sweet gift from God too!  Weston doesn't really have a clue but does say baby when we tell him as I point to my belly. Macie is probably the best big sis around...she brings the baby toys to play with, tells me I need to rest, ask how the baby is enjoying all the meals I eat, hugs my belly, and tells everyone that we have a baby.

Sweet, colorful and yummy lollipops were in the kids Easter baskets.  They loved loved loved getting sticky and enjoying the fun snack.

Miss Belle all dressed up and loving her hairstyle.
So on our last cold day we had lots of indoor fun!  Finger painting was a success.  Macie is a pro but I was concerned about whether would eat it or no telling what. He did awesome. It was really fun though to watch both kids paint.

 CLEAN UP
There are so many things about Weston that are my favorite things about it!  One thing I LOVE is that when we pray at dinner he knows that we are going to hold hands.  He always says something right afterwards to. THIS picture though is another of my favorite things.  Since starting to like books we tell Weston to pick out a book and he goes to his table, lifts up the cloth, and choices which book he wants.  It just makes me laugh every single time.  I love that this SWEET boy loves books.  He will pick a book, turn around, and sit in your lap.  He does have his favorite books which usually include balls or animals. (Oh and the books are under the table because the basket is still pink from when it was in Macie's room...why I never changed it)!

This brother and sister are such SWEET FRIENDS!  They are playing more and more together.  We made outside paint (Cornstarch, water, and food coloring) the other day!  They had such a great time!  It is a great "paint" because it doesn't stain and washes right off!
This BIG BROTHER had to try on his Pappy's hat.
Macie "babysat" Myka, our neighbor the other day!  It was just precious to watch.  Macie wanted to help with everything and share all the toys.  She even told me she could change her diaper if she needed to.  The sweetest thing Macie did was help Myka try on one of her princess dress-up shoes.  She said, "Oh Myka, it fits. You are a true princess!"
SHOOT! SCORE! STUCK!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend and celebration of Christ.  This year I was so excited to really teach and  help Macie understand Easter and the importance of it.  We started off our Easter celebration by counting down 6 days before.  Each day Macie and Weston would open an egg that would have an item in it to teach about the Crucifixion and resurrection.  We read the story of Christ in  Macie's Bible before we started which really seemed to help.  So the first day the egg had a piece of bread in it, (Jesus shared his last meal with his friends) we then read a bible verse about the bread, and I would explain the meaning It was great fun for Macie.  Weston understand quite so much and ended up eating his bread. Macie would ask about opening her egg first thing each morning. Once again, I found this great idea on Pinterest.

Daddy and Weston ran to Home Depot on Friday so Macie and I got to spend more time together.  We made Resurrection Rolls.  I loved doing this because it added to her understanding. AND they TASTED YUMMY!!!!
As Macie and I were doing the Resurrection Rolls, I realized that the magnitude of what Christ did for us is amazing.  I am so thankful I believe. I hope and pray Macie and Weston someday realize the complete meaning of the cross and follow after Christ.  It is one of our daily prayers for our kids.
Good thing this girl loves crafts!
As she was making her cross, Macie kept singing songs about Jesus rising up.  Her teacher at school said that when asked what happened to Jesus after dying on the cross Macie shouted, "HE RISED UP!"

After Weston and Daddy got home, we had a picnic outside and then dyed Easter eggs.
On Saturday we headed to Blake's second Blast Ball game.  He did great!  Macie cheered for him and it was fun to see how much he improved since last year!  IMPRESSIVE!
I knew Weston would enjoy watching the baseball game.
We headed to Josh and Lyndsie's house for lunch and an EASTER egg hunt.  Weston and all the kids loved jumping on the trampoline.  It is a major hit.
Lyndsie did such a great job making our Easter celebration special.  She had cute decorations, plates, and cups.  The kids dyed eggs and enjoyed eating together.  It is hard to believe Weston and Blake are joining the big kids.
This is my favorite picture.  I think if Blair would have had her basket, it would have been on her head too.  While the kids were hunting eggs, she sat down, looking at her eggs, and tried to put her bucket on her head.  Little eyes are always watching!

The Hunting Began...

Once Macie's bucket was full she was finished picking eggs up even though there were still several eggs out there.  They all got lots of eggs and enjoyed eating the candy afterwards. It was a beautiful day which added to the fun.  After our Egg Fun we head to Nonnie and Pappy's for a nap.  Then we went to Chuey's for the perfect ending to our day.  The weather was beautiful so we sat outside and ate dinner.  Weston did really good too which was an added bonus.

Easter morning we got the kids ready, had a scavenget hunt to find out Easter eggs and then went to church.
A blow toy and crown added a nice touch.
