18 Month and 4 Year Check Up

Even Macie and Weston were a little late on their latest check ups and shots because the doctor had a maybe we decided to TACKLE them both at the same time!  What a good decision!  Macie was absolutely excited about going to the doctor.  She was eager to weigh, get measured, and have her blood pressure taken.  She even told the nurse that she knew how the gadget worked because she had one at home.  Macie  did great on her eye and hearing check.  When she first began to read the letters she couldn't see the 20/20 line and said, "Sometimes kids can see the lines."  She did great on 20/30.  Weston was a pro at all his little things he had to do.  Macie is  98% in height and has grown 8 inches since she was two.  Weston is 99% in height and is about 1 1/2 inches taller than what Macie was at 18 months.  We did have a little drama even before we actually got to the shots. Weston bit Macie and he bit her hard.  I am hoping this is a one time thing because neither of us were impressed.  Shots were a success.  Macie did cry a little and so did Weston; however, the sucker and sticker brought the tears to an end. Macie did say in the car that she "was definately scared of shots" and "she didn't want to do that again for a long time."  I told her she was very brave but she said she wasn't because she cried.  I assured her that she did great!

Macie was eager to do everything that she was instructed.  Weston doesn't look so sure that he likes having his temperature taken.
