Macie Rolling Over

Macie rolled over about a week ago but I missed it. Zack and I have been putting Macie on her belly and watching her get really mad but I wanted to see her roll over so badly. Then today I put her on her belly before I went to the gym. I went to grab something in my room and came back in and she was on her back. I cheered for her. She looked at me like "you're crazy." So I put her on her belly again and grabbed the camera. She rolled over before I could push play to record it. One more time is all I thought. So I put her on her belly again and it took a little over a minute for Macie to roll over but I was so glad to have it recorded. We tried again after that but she was tuckered out and started to suck her thumb. I am so proud of her!

Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini

Macie is ready for the summer. She has her swimsuits, sunglasses, and hat. I think she just wants to kick back, relax, and drink bottles by the pool.
Zack and I picked this swimsuit out earlier in the spring. When we went to the pool party this weekend, Macie was a big hit. All the moms there recognized it as the "itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini." Macie really liked the pool. I put her on her belly and moved her around and she sort of kicked her legs. Eventually she looked like she was about to fall asleep so we took her out for a nap.

This swimsuit was too cute to pass up too! Plus, it matches her cute cap.

I bought Macie's sunglasses this past Thursday when Macie and I had a girl's day and went to the mall for the morning. Zack and I had seen the sunglasses one time and I was so excited to see the store had them on sale. I couldn't resist the bargain. Macie wore them the rest of the time shopping and lots of people kept commenting how cute she looked in her sunglasses.
Mom found this hat and outfit and I think it is simply adorable. I think bright pink and green are Macie's "signature colors."

My Big Girl

Macie is enjoying tummy time. I don't know if "enjoy" is the right word but her head is getting so much stronger. Macie rolled over yesterday but I missed it. I put her on her tummy and went to do something in the other room. When I walked back in she was on her back. I started clapping and cheering. She looked at me like I was crazy. I tried 3 more times to see if she would do it again with the camera ready to capture the moment but she just wasn't in the mood.

I love my dog brother and he loves me!
Macie is such a happy girl when she wakes up so I had to take a couple of pictures of her in her cute pajamas. No, she didn't sleep with the hat on.

Busy Weekend

First TASTE of Cereal
Zack insisted that we let Macie try rice cereal. Her first few bites were a bit rough. She wasn't so sure about the taste or texture, but as we finished the bowl it slowly got better. She did gag a couple of times. I think I may wait just a bit longer for rice cereal to become part of her diet.

We visited Nana, Zack's grandmother on Saturday. She couldn't believe how big Macie had gotten since the last time she had seen her.

Brandon and Amanda got married on Sunday! It was a beautiful wedding. I loved seeing how happy they are together!

Macie was able to attend her first wedding and I am so glad because it was Mother's Day! We had a great time at the wedding and I was able to spend it with my sweet baby girl.
Macie only took about 2 oz. of her bottle. There was just too much excitement going on around her. She probably is already thinking about her big day...what she'll wear and who she'll marry...well, maybe Macie isn't thinking about that yet, but I am already praying for the person she will one day marry. I hope he is just like her daddy.
Jillian and Macie have so much fun when they are together!

Ok, I had to post this picture. Coolio showed up to the wedding because he is dating a friend of the bride. After me trying to take random photos of him without him noticing, Kristin and I finally got up the nerve to ask for a photo. We had to take two because neither of us liked the first one. Toward the end of the wedding, he rapped 2 or 3 songs for the crowd. It was pretty funny!

4 Month Appointment

Macie had her 4 month doctor's appointment earlier this week. Macie now weighs 15 pounds and is 25 3/4 inches long. My baby is growing like a weed. The doctor said I can now try cereal if I would like to but I am not sure if I am ready for that step. I think I may wait another month or so. It is hard to believe how fast the time goes. Zack is ready to try the food out and see how she likes it.

On my way to my appointment!

I love big mirrors!

Tuckered out after shots!

Daddy thinks we should skip the sippy cup and go straight to big glasses. Macie kept trying to put the cup up to her mouth!

Back to herself again!

Macie is finally back to herself again after being sick. Zack and I both know that she may get sick again but we pray it isn't for a long time. After the scare of having to take Macie to the hospital on Saturday night because some blood test came back positive for bacteria, we decided we don't want to go through that again. Probably the worst thing about being a parent is to see your child in pain. I did not like for a second when they were sticking Macie with needles to draw blood and put an IV in just in case. I couldn't wait to hold and comfort her again. After the test came came "all clear, " Zack and I were so relieved. A million things go through your head when you are waiting to see if something is wrong. Zack said he would give anything to switch places with her and so would I! Thankfully, she is better and woke up smiling today. We have had a lack of sleep since Macie has had trouble sleeping the last four night; however, I am hoping she decides tonight that she wants to go back to sleeping through the night. Zack and I both agreed driving home Saturday night that you can't understand the love a parent has for their child until you have a child of your own. We love Macie so much!!

We have been laying Macie on her belly for some of her naps and she seems to sleep better. All she needs is her thumb and she is out!

Macie loves her duck!
For some reason her headbands tend to fall over her eyes when she is sleeping.
We had a great time hanging out with our friends, Jonas, Kelley, and Tate a week ago. We know that Macie and Tate will be great friends one day, too.
Jillian was at our house a few weekends ago and was the perfect cousin and helper. She got to give Macie her bottle. Jillian has also wanted to hold Macie standing up so she got to do that for just a second as I stood with her. As I was changing Macie's diaper Jillian offered to help and she told me that she "had been doing this for years." She did a great job with the diaper, too. Macie can't wait for her to come back and play again this summer!
Jackson is also a great cousin. The last time he was at our house he rocked Macie to sleep. It was so sweet!
