Pumpkin Patch in Flower Mound

Doesn't she look like a toddler....2 will be here before we know it!
How fun are these? I didn't know whether Macie would wear the curlers or not but she liked them. We just tried putting them in before church. I think though the hair is supposed to be wet and then dried with them in. We will have to try again.

Last Saturday, we went to a pumpkin patch in Flower Mound that was a lot of fun and FREE. You can beat that for cute pictures, playing in bounce houses, and enjoying a fall day. However, tons of other families had the same idea and it was a bit crowded. It was fun for the few hours we were there.

The pumpkin patch had all sorts of yard art for Halloween and fall. There was every kind of Disney character there. Macie was happy to see Elmo (Melmo) and Minnie.

Choo Choo

Macie loved petting the horse.

We weren't sure if Macie was big enough to go down the slide by herself so I went with her. Little did we know...she had it all figured out! So she ended up going down the slide about 6 times. Finally, we pulled her away because it was hot and lunch time. She didn't leave willingly.

Our BIG girl Sliding...

The kids behind Macie were waiting patiently as were we when she was trying to come down the slide again. Everyone thought she was having a hard time sitting on her bottom.
NOPE...she was sliding down face first!

Such concentration

Circus

Off to the circus we went last Wednesday night. What a great time! I didn't think Macie or Blake would be interested but they loved it and hardly moved a muscle when the circus started. They loved everything about the circus and we all had such a great time. It has been years since I have been to a circus. I am glad Josh and Lyndsie had tickets to share! I wish Zack could have been with us to see Macie's reactions.

Let's go to the circus!
Macie and Blake couldn't look at the camera. They were too busy checking everything out!
Macie and Blake were glad Nonnie and Pappy got to go with them to the circus for the first time! What a fun way to spend Pappy's birthday!
Macie and Blake wanted to stand by each other the whole time. A couple of times Josh took Blake but he scooted back towards Macie.
Uncle Josh bought some cotton candy for the show. When we were at the Rangers game with Josh, Lyndsie, and Blake, Macie had nothing to do with the cotton candy. All has changed! As you can see she didn't just take a little bite!

Intermission
We decided to go home at this point. It was getting late and we figured the kids had enjoyed the first hour! Thanks Josh, Lyndsie, and Blake for taking us with you to the circus! We loved it!

Macie/Blake Day

While staying with Nonnie and Pappy while Zack was out of town, Macie had Blake over for the day to play. He skipped out on daycare which was very nice and fun because these two cousins don't get to spend as much time together doing the school year. We started the morning off with lots of playing and stickers. They were little pumpkins themselves. Then we baked Pappy his birthday cake. I thought this was going to be a great idea...teachable moment. I showed them how to put the icing on the cake, gave them spoons, and let them have at it. I knew it would be a messy activity but I didn't even think about them diving into the cake trying to eat it. So instead of helping they just got to eat the leftover icing in the jars....not a bad morning snack. Macie and Blake were great together and loved playing. I decided though that I don't want twins after all which I have thought would be really neat up to this point. Probably the easiest time was diaper changing. I would lay them both down, change them, and have them up and ready to go. I might mention that Macie wanted to help change Blake. I know that I can't completely remember Josh when he was a baby but I have lots of memories of him when he was small and boy, I look at Blake and I see Josh. I watch Blake play and be a boy and I see Josh. What fun!

Delicious! Pappy's Cake

Happy Birthday, Pappy

Macie saw a little boy at the park the other day going down face first. While she was sliding with him, she would go down on her belly but feet first. Not anymore! This brave little girl likes to go face first now!
Love my Nonnie!
Macie and Blake would both "help" each other up the slide. It might have been more like pushing but no one got hurt.

Pumpkin Patch

Macie, Nonnie, and I stopped by a pumpkin patch after stopping by Mom's school one day. I was hoping to get a couple of pumpkin pictures. Posing for pictures isn't so easy when you don't want to sit! That's ok though...I love that she likes to explore and stay busy.
"I'll take this one!"

My favorite!
Macie loves stickers. She really likes to put them on her cheeks or hand. This one wound up on her eye!

Zoo

Last week while Zack was out of town and Josh was off of work for Columbus Day, Josh and I took Macie and Blake to the zoo. It was great fun! We got there right before it opened which was perfect. The kids loved looking at all the animals. We saw as many as we could before the kids got tired and hungry. It was fun to look at and watch all the animals. We worked on animals sounds too! The monkeys chased each other around which was cute. Then some orangutans came up at one point by the glass we were standing at and started kissing. Macie was scared of them because they got so close. After about 3 kisses one orangutan hit the other one. BAD BREATH or too much "PDA", I guess! I loved spending the day with Josh. He is such a good brother and I loved watching him be such a good daddy, too!

OPEN!!! This wait is driving me crazy!

"Do you see the animal?" Macie says. "No, I don't but I bet we will in a minute." Blake replies! These two was super cute to watch. They got a kick out of the tigers, bears, and MONKEYS!

Feeding the birds was the best part about the zoo. Macie and Blake loved it. They liked holding the sticks with feed on the. Josh finally got one to get on his stick but the bird didn't want to stick around when they both tried to touch him!

Macie hoped they would land on her stick...then she just dropped it in the cage for the birds to snack on when they felt like it.

Macie loved feeding the birds!
" Get me off of this thing!" Blake wasn't so sure about this crocodile.

The real thing! Macie loved it. It was massive and I couldn't believe how big it looked. His hand was bigger than Macie's face!

Too Much Fun! It wore Blake out...
and Macie, too!

Pumpkin Carving

I love fall! I love that Macie is finally getting some wear out of her fall clothes. This weather has been a little too hot but it if hopefully going to cool down soon. I have had a lot of fun making bows to match or go with some of Macie's clothes.

Reading her cute Pretty Pink Alphabet Purse book.
It's hard work carrying around this heavy pumpkin.

We went over to Josh, Lyndsie and Blake's house for a pumpkin carving party. It was a lot of fun. We played a few games like tag football and toss the egg. Then the bigger kids and adults carved pumpkins. It was a beautiful night which made it all the better. I love fall!

Macie and Blake liked jumping around in the little bounce toy. Mom and I went to some garage sale and found this good buy for $10! It had never been opened! I saw it at Wal-Mart just the other day for $40! What a steal!
Macie and Blake are pretty good at sharing toys. They had to take turns pushing each other.
Macie really liked driving Blake's powered four wheeler once she got the hang of it.

MMMM....chocolate cupcake

Here are a few of the pumpkins carved!
