Summer Fun

For some reason this little girl likes to run around FREE! After Macie's bath the other night, she immediately started playing. I just had to laugh. She is making sure that she and her baby don't get wet.
Story Hour
Macie has been going to story hour at the library each week on Wednesday. She really enjoys the books that the librarian reads, the songs they sing, and the crafts they do! The other day she woke up and was looking at several of Mom's books that are just words and hundreds of pages. She kept saying she was having story hour and that each book was her favorite.

Nonnie had a box of puppets that are pretty easy to make. When Macie saw that Nonnie had crafts she said, "Nonnie, I love you!" Macie loves doing crafts (or should I say "craps" since that is still how Macie says crafts) and we try to do something each day like coloring or making something. She also likes to play with play doh and that is another one of her crafts.

Firefighter

Macie got out the firefighter dress-up clothes. I wish I could have had a video. She was running around saying that there was a fire. We were putting each fire out. Then I would have to save her from the fire. I was her "hero." As we were playing I taught her "Stop, Drop, and Roll." She had a little trouble deciding which way to roll when we practiced but it sure was cute to watch. YES, again she is only in her panties. She had gotten wet outside and like any other time she takes advantage of not putting her clothes back on.

Happy Birthday, Nonnie!

Macie and I made cupcakes for Nonnie's birthday. This is the one that Macie decorated all by herself. She couldn't wait to test out her cupcakes.

Blake came over and went swimming. There seems to be a lot more snack time than swimming this day! Blake was very sweet to share with Macie. She sure loves her "Blakey" as she calls him.

Another Snack

I am excited to see how much Macie has improved since last summer when playing in the water. She is not as scared as she used to be. I plan on putting her in swimming lessons next summer which will hopefully help her as well. She does blow bubbles, put her face in the water, "swim on her belly," and kick when we help her swim.

Too much sugar is maybe the reason Macie was running around acting so silly but I loved it! She made up a song about a prince/princess.
