6 1/2 Month Old Baby...30 Year Old Mom

Zack and I went out for my 30th birthday and left Macie with her Nonnie and Pappy! She had a great time and loved every minute. I joked that I was sad about turning 30, but really I couldn't be happier about it. I have a husband I adore, a baby girl that I can't imagine life without, and a family that means everything to me! I keep saying it over and over, but I am truly blessed!

So Peaceful!
I love my veggies....well, carrots aren't my favorite but I still eat them!
All I want to do is sit up! If I am on my tummy, I am trying to sit up or do my "ab work."

6 Month Check-up

Today Macie went to the doctor for her 6 month appointment. I was surprised when we weighed her and she only weighed 16 lbs. 3 oz (50 percentile). I just knew she was closer to 18lbs. by now. Since we are now eating cereal and starting other solids in the next week, I think she will keep on growing. She loves her cereal but the only problem is she wants to suck her thumb between bites. I am trying to break her of this little habit. Macie is 26 3/4 inches long (80-90 percentile). Macie did really great at the appointment and was talking and moving around on the table. The staff thought she was really cute...of course, that made me smile. All seems to be well with Macie.

I have been trying to get her in her diaper only at each appointment but I forgot today.
Macie is working on her abs! The doctor was impressed!

Family Fun

Macie, my precious 6 month old, has mastered sitting up!

We are finally back home after being away for a little over a week and a half. All the pictures below are a recap of her time. First we were off to my parents' house to enjoy family time since Sheldon, Reagan, and Jackson came for a visit from Scotland. The days seemed to fly by and then they were off to visit Reagan's family. I loved every minute of our time together and look forward to the next time we can all be together again. I love that Sheldon and his family are so happy living in Scotland and I am so proud of Sheldon's hard work and accomplishments with his work; however, I miss him like crazy and look forward to when they move back home to the US. While they were here we did lots of fun things like the girls getting pedicures, the guys golfing, celebrating Mom's birthday, celebrating Jackson's 1st Birthday , Sheldon and his family opened some of their Christmas presents that weren't shipped, the girls went shopping, the kids got to go swimming and got to play together, and we just enjoyed our time hanging out.

I love being with my family! It was a little wild and crazy with 3 little ones. They all were on different schedules. One would be eating, one sleeping, and another one playing. So it was hard to get them all together for a picture. I can't wait to see what Christmas will be like with Jackson, Macie, and Blake will all be so active since Macie will probably be walking and Blake will be crawling. The only one that will be sitting still will be Sheldon and Reagan's new little baby! We will have the goldfish out when picture time comes!

It was so fun watching Jackson walk out! All the people waiting for their friends and families thought it was really sweet too!

On our way for pedicures!
Nonnie turned 50 so all her grandbabies had on matching shirts that they wore to Joe T's for dinner. Nonnie loved the surprise!
The last time we were at Joe T's two years ago, my parents had just moved here and we were only a family of eight...no babies! Now we have added 3 little ones and Reagan has another one on the way! Wonder what it will be like the next time we go?!?!

We were working on ocean cupcakes for Jackson's birthday!
Get Your Guns Up! (It isn't easy taking pictures of active little babies!)
Jackson, Macie, and Blake might have a little bit of their mommas in them but they all three look a lot like their daddies.
Jackson wasn't so sure of his "stinky girl cousin!"
I think it is kind of neat that Sheldon had a boy, me a girl, and Josh a boy all in that order since that is how we were born!

Getting ready to go to Grammy's! We had a wonderful time with Zack's family! The kids got to play and swim. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family!

Macie loves hair!
Macie loves being entertained by Jackson and Jillian! They do such a great job with her!

Papaw took Macie swimming. The water was like bath water!

Grammy is helping Macie show off her 4th of July outfit!

Macie is ready for the 4th of July Pool Party with friends.
Macie loved swimming! She had such a good time! She was kicking, moving her arms, and splashing in the water!

Macie is enjoying her summer and so am I! I have really enjoyed being home with Macie and am so glad that I have the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mommy. She just makes me smile. Since she giggled so much the other day, I try to make her laugh everyday like that. She did giggle more yesterday and it was so fun to hear. It seems that Sebastian is the best way to make it happen. I am so glad they get along so well and that he doesn't mind when she is pulling on his hair.

We are so excited that Sheldon, Reagan, and Jackson will be here next Friday. We have missed them so very much. It will be so fun to watch all 3 little cousins play together.

Macie Giggles

Macie giggled like crazy today for the first time. Sebastian jumped up beside her and she just started laughing. It was adorable. I grabbed the camera and got a pretty good version of her laughing although she was laughing harder before I started the video. I have been waiting and waiting for this! It always looks like she wants to laugh or is so close to laughing because she grins so big. Macie's giggle was the sweetest sound to my ears.

Another Fun Weekend

Macie went to Easton's 2nd birthday party and had a great time. She was wishing for some of that yummy cake but she had to stick to her diet..."milk."
Macie is now taking two naps a day. Her naps are lasting anywhere from 1 1/2 hours in the morning to a 3 hours in the afternoon. I work as fast as possible in the afternoon to get things accomplished. I am tutoring now in the morning while she naps so that is helpful. I have been babysitting in the afternoons while Macie naps but Monday will be my last day. Anyway, in this picture Macie fell asleep while Zack and I were having dinner. Sometimes she needs a little cat nap to make it until bedtime.
Macie loves swimming in her pool. She goes swimming every couple of days.
Both Macie and Sebastian are warn out from playing so hard during the day.

Swimming

We had a really fun but busy weekend. Zack and I had a wedding Saturday night so Macie got to spend the night at her Nonnie's and Pappy's house. This was a big one for me because it was the first time leaving her for that long of a time and all night. I called several times...not because I was worried but because I wanted to know what she was doing. My dad told me to quit calling them because I was interrupting their time with Macie. He was joking. Anyway, Macie did fantastic and didn't cry the entire time. She even got to go to Target and pick out a toy. I was so thrilled to see her Sunday morning. Then we had another wedding Sunday evening which was lots of fun. Some of Zack's family hadn't met Macie yet so they got to see her. She was a bit shy and didn't show off all her smiles.

Macie also got to go swimming today. I got her a swimming pool last week and was so anxious to try it out. She really enjoyed playing in the water. She was playing with her toys and splashing the water. Macie took a great long nap afterwards. I think we will be spending a lot of time playing in the pool this summer.
