We have been keeping busy....
(and if you see mispellings or grammatical erros I didn't go back and proof it and spell check wasn't working)
"On your mark, get set, GO!"
We celebrated Josh's birthday and Father's Day last Sunday! I am so thankful for my sweet brother. He is such a good daddy! I am also so thankful for my own Dad. He is one-of-a-kind. Most importantly, I am thankful for Macie and Weston's DADDY! I love the way he loves his children!
Showing off a few teeth
Weston just melts my heart. He is climbing on the wall in the backyard. I have a nervous feeling that the wall may cause a trip to the emergency room at some point. The kid love playing on it.
The other day Macie took food coloring with the help of her momma and mixed it with water that was in ice trays. We let the colored water freeze during nap. After nap, she decorated her daddy a tye dye shirt. It was a good way to cool off in the hot sun.
Macie was very excited for Zack to try on and wear his shirt. She didn't want him to take it off after he put it on. In fact, we were going to the yogurt shop and she said "You can wear that one, Daddy."The other morning Macie and WEston both took a shower. SHOWERS=FUN! They had a great time playing. I think they look so similar all wet...hair color, skin, and eyes.
Weston likes playing with his shape blocks. He takes them and puts them back in the yellow box. He is learning to clean up early. I am very pleased to see him stacking two or three blocks on top of each other. He is one good-looking kid...well, I am his momma!
CELEBRATING NONNIE's Birthday!
Brandt and Weston are mastering pulling up on everything. Mr. Brandt is a go-getter. Nonnie was pretending to blow out the candles and make a wish. I forgot the candles. The kids didn't notice. They devoured their dinner so they could eat the chocolate cake. Macie saw the ingredients in the pantry and pulled them out so excited to make the cake. She kept saying, "We made a delcious cake for Nonnie." She told her friens and then when we got to the house Macie said to Jackson, "Look at the delicious cake we made." His response was "I love chocolate."
The kids got to spend Saturday at Josh and Lynsie's house before they left on vacation. Blake sure has a fun backyard with lots of things to do. Jackson, Macie, and Blake are great friends. They play so well together. They loved jumping on the trampoline as we sprayed water on them. We got to the house around 10 and left around 1:15. Macie was out like a light and slept for three hours. Weston slept that long as well and that never happens. They HAD A GREAT TIME! It is great fun seeing all the cousins finally together and it is even a better feeling knowing that they will be seeing each other more than once a year. We are so happy Sheldon's family is home for good!
The kids had swim race. Jackson just finished swimming lessons so he was eager to practice his "swim skills."
Sweet little Cage entertains himself. Sometime the bigger cousins forgot about it but he doesn't seem to mind.
Weston is working in the garden.
Jackson and Cage are staying with Nonnie and Pappy a few days so they got to come over and play. They had a blast playing Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Macie kept referring to Jackson as "Jake" and he would call her "Issy." Macie took off her dress-up clothes so then the boys decided they wanted their clothes off too for snacks. After they left Macie asked where their momma was so I explained that Reaga was getting things ready to move into their house and the boys were staying with Nonnie.. Macie didn't completely understand but said, "I would to move in Nonnie's house too."During Weston's morning nap, I am trying to do crafts, science, or special things with Macie. Today we combined colored vinegar with baking soda. Macie had a blast watching the colors blend and fizzle. She played for about an hour. She was so excited she told me, "You are my favorite Mom. Thank you, Momma."
I was trying to show off the different colors that she made.
Look at this big boy climbing up the slide at McDonalds. He eventually made it all the way up which made me so proud and shocked me too! He was very determined. He was on his way down when a kid pushed him and hurt his head. I gave the little boy that was too big to be on the slide a "DON'T HURT MY KID" look! While Jackson and Cage were over playing, Nonnie and I took the kids to McDonalds. We meant to get there earlier than we did. It was a MAD HOUSE!!! All four of the kids had a great time. Macie decided she needed to help Weston. She kept picking him up and putting him on toys which she has never done before. She said to me, "I can hold him, Momma. I have big muscles."
LOVE THEM!
