All of July

July has flown by...I didn't realize it has been a month since I have updated the blog.  I guess we have been super busy with summer fun.  I haven't taken as many pictures this month either...I guess I took a picture vacation.  Anyway, throughout the month of July we have spent many hours at the pool, evenings outside with the neighbors, and lots of time with family.  We were able to go to Tyler to see Grammy and Papaw.  Finley and Kylan were there as well so Macie and Weston had a great time. We have also spent a lot of time with Nonnie and Pappy.  We also get to see Blake a lot and I don't know what Macie will do once.

 Happy 4th of July

Our neighbors had a few small firecrackers from the year before so we started shooting those off after swimming in our backyard kid pool.  We actually had a little scare...Macie was jumping on the neighbors' trampoline and bit her tongue. It scared me to death...lots of blood and perfect teeth marks on her tongue.  The firecrackers cheered her up.  We had a fun time outside.
One Saturday while Daddy was mowing we went to the park with the sandbox.  That is what Macie calls it.  The kids played in the sand and toys.  The sandbox is covered by trees so that helps but the toys get hot quickly.
Weston liked crawling all over the toys.  He thinks he is so big!  He loves following Macie around.
One weekend we had another "friend/family" reunion.  We wish we could all get together more but it seems to be hard with schedules and BABIES!  We loved seeing Beau, Jamie and their babies.  Macie and Blake loved swimming and watching a movie up in the theater room.  Weston loved the stairs.  We couldn't take our eyes off him.  Actually all the parents were contstantly keeping an eye on one of the kids, feeding kids, or putting them to bed.  It was a busy fun!  When they watched their movie in the theater room after swimming, they did discover all the yummy candle Belinda had up there.  It was funny.
How much is that doggy in the dog cage...HE ISN'T FOR SALE!!!
Weston opens the cage and goes in.  I have pictures of Macie in the dog cage and also pictures of Macie and Blake together in there.  It seems to be the "in" place to go when you are almost 1.
I only show this picture because I got this bath duck at a garage sale. I think we put Weston in it once for a bath.  Macie puts it in the shower sometimes to have a shower/bath.  However, the main use of my $5 find is for crawling in and out of and Macie's "patients" spend time in there when they are getting better. Macie and Weston have used this duck for hours of play.
We spent one more outside when there was a breeze.  It was so fun and relaxing.  Weston now thinks he needs to climb up the stairs and on the wall which is a bit stressful because I can just picture a scraped face.  Macie and Weston had a lot of fun playing.  Sometimes this brother/sister combo argues gets in each other's space or has trouble sharing but how sweet it is to just have them play together and love each other.  On the note of arguing...Macie made a sign in her writing that basically says, "No boys allowed."  Some days she shuts her door so Weston won't play with her and then sometimes I hear her say, "You can play in my room."

Last night we were outside.  We thought a storm was blowing in but it didn't. However, it cooled off and it felts great for a warm evening.  Zack started spraying the kids as they rode their bikes.  Then it turned into a water zone.  I love that we have neighbors that are outside and that we can play with.  Often there are several kids out.  However, last night it was just these 4 and they had a great time.  THey played in the water for a good hour until bedtime.  In the above picture I was hoping to capture Macie's determination to jump over the water.  She would focus so hard and then jump.
Bikes are in the street, kids are in the street, and it isn't really the safest place to play but it does make me happy to know we are on a good street to do this.

Everyday as this little man gets closer to his one year birthday I think back to what we were doing a year ago at this time.  I have also thought back to our sweet memories over the past year.  I with time didn't fly as fast as it does. I love life, I love my kids, I love my hubby, I love my family!
