GREAT WOLF LODGE

We went to Great Wolf Lodge this weekend which was simply a GREAT time.  Josh, Lyndsie, Blake and Blair came and stayed the night with us.  Nonnie and Pappy spent all day Sunday with us.  I loved every minute of our little vacation...it is a place where everyone can have fun.  As soon as Macie woke Sunday morning her words were, "We are going to Wolf Lodge."  We got there around one and played in the water until 5:30.  The crazy thing is I think Blake and Macie could have kept on playing...the adults were the tired ones.  We ate pizza and watched movies in the room until 8:00.  Then we went back to the lobby for the Bedtime Story hour.  Macie and Blake loved it.  At the end of the story, all the kids stood up.  They chanted, "Stomp, Stomp, Clap, Clap, and then howled."  We did that for the remainder of the time.  When we got home on Monday I started saying it and Macie said, "Mom, we only say that at the Wolf Lodge."  Blake and Macie loved the slides, the wave pool, and the Lazy River.  Macie and I played in the Lazy river for along time.  Water would fall from above.  You could ride in a tube or just walk.  We walked/swam (great work out)  at least 20 or more times around the pool.  Weston and Zack joined us for a while but Weston wasn't to keen on the water getting in his face.  At one point, kids from above could shoot you with water or pour it on you and so that was the tricky part we tried to avoid for Weston.   Zack and I rode some of the big rides while either Nonnie and Pappy or Josh and Lyndsie watched the kids.  Then they would go ride the big slides.  Nonnie and Pappy didn't brave the slides but I have a feeling that when we return they are going to love them.

Macie hasn't stayed in a hotel in quite a long time.  So when we told her we were spending the night she wanted to know where we were sleeping.  She had lots of questions and "whys" on how that all worked.  She was very excited to see our room.  When we had to leave I know she didn't wanted too because they were having so much fun but she was asleep within minutes.

Daddy and Macie were walking up to the bigger slides but then Macie chickened out.  That is ok.  All kids have to ride the slides by themselves.
 Wave Pool
 Swimming is exhausting.
Thanks to Nonnie and Pappy for helping with the babies!  We loved having y'all with us.
Blair slept like a champ the whole time.  I think the water just put her to sleep.
 Bedtime story hour
Macie didn't slide until the second day.  She had to get enough courage which surprised us since she slides on our neighbor's slide into their baby pool.
 "On the count of three..."

Macie is getting Josh.  I love the way Macie says Josh.  She also says to him quite often, "Josh, you are silly."
Does he just look sheepish here or what?
Weston was splashing in the water.  You would have never guessed that he was up for over two hours the night before.  He must have been anxious to get back the pool.  (Thank goodness Macie slept through the whole thing!)  Macie actually slept until Blake knocked on our door with breakfast.  When they saw each other they were super excited again.  We loved spending time with the family at the Great Wolf Lodge.  I am probably just as excited as Macie to return someday.
