I seem to be a month behind regardless but here's to the GREAT month of September! We loved beautiful weather that wasn't too hot or too cold; therefore, the kids swam in the back yard. It was great entertainment for them and for me. The neighbors came over for a few swims as well and 30 minutes would turn into an hour and 30 minutes.
Kinsley didn't have a diaper on so I will leave this picture to your imagination.
Is it any wonder we wind up in emergency rooms.
We told the kids we were taking them on an adventure and they were very excited. We were off to Maramac caverns. I remember visiting Carlsbad Caverns when I was little and thinking it was amazing. The loved it. We got to see one bat which added to the excitement.
Grammy, Papaw and Aunt Barbara came for a visit. We loved having them here. It is always fun having people come to us. Weston and Papaw had plenty of target practice.
While Grammy watched the kids (which we really appreciate...first get away since I was pregnant with Kinsley flying to ST. Louis to look at houses), we went to Chicago with our good friends. We had a wonderful time at the Zac Brown Band concert, the John Hancock building, and walking around the city. Below you will see that we were about to get on our first every train ride. THAT was interesting...not so much when we were on it at around 4pm but when we were coming home after midnight.
I will also have to add that I slept in and that was something special!
WE have had some great days and nice nights. We spent one evening at our friends having smores. Kinsley ran around and did everything the big kids did. Valerie had a treasure map that the kids used to find hidden treasure in the back yard..so cute.
We also spent one Saturday morning walking on a trail not far from our house. Weston loved it. Macie impressed us...."If we take a boat out, I am going to bring perfume so it doesn't smell like fish." "When I get home I am taking a shower," she said as she pulled her brush out of her purse and was brushing it. Yes, she is a girly girl but to that extreme I did not know.
Fashion diva
Macie wore lipstick for apple picking...I think before I realized it.
She wanted to go swimming.
Kinsley is a climbing queen. She doesn't seem to be one or act one sometimes. OR maybe I was too nervous to let the other two try what she tries. CLIMB MOUNTAINS, my sweet girl. YOU CAN DO IT!
Weston finally climbed to the top of the rock. This is a big accomplishment because big kids are always up there.
Can you guess how many pieces of gum Kinsley put in her mouth?
Tracing her baby like I trace her.
Weston found the golfing gloves so we wanted a picture with his daddy and him wearing them.
A little bit of science that the big kids left behind
Just like mommy...loves her babies and cute shoes.
Gymnastics is so much fun! I love helping Kinsley along as the teacher teaches. It amazes me how fast she learns.
GO TECH! I always love seeing Macie's clothes on Kinsley.
Our quick Walmart run turned into an hour. All three kids wanted to sit in the seat. Then we headed to the kid section and everyone got the "GIMMIES!" Macie loved being at Walmart because she probably hasn't been there since starting school last year.
This poor little guy hit the wall in the basement when he and his sister were pulling on a purse during church group. They were playing some game that ended with 3 staples. Weston was very brave while getting them.
We had to do at least one fun apple experiment. So we made exploding apples! The kids loved their cinnamon flavored baking soda and red vinegar experiment.
