So we made it to Nonnie and Pappy's beautiful, new house as the sun was setting and the kids were thrilled to see Pappy's BIG surprise. They spent many hours outside on the play set. Good thing they are used to the cold now because it didn't faze them a bit. The weather was cool some days and AMAZING others. We love the Texas sun. We had a wonderful time with our family. Time flies when you are with the ones you love! We enjoyed 2 1/2 weeks with Nonnie and Pappy and once Zack flew in we headed to Grammy and Papaw's house. We loved every second of every day. We were thrilled to see cousins and friends and just see familiar things. It was very hard to say good-bye to the ones we love so much.
The kids like it when I spin them really fast in circles. They say, "Seasick." The play set brought several neighbor kids over to play while we were there. Macie and Weston enjoyed playing with new kids.
Her Sis is teaching her to play dress up!
While visiting, we were able to spend time with our sweet friends. I think my heart leapt for joy when watching Macie and Hayden run into each others' arms. They enjoyed a fun day and a sleep over. Weston was happy to see Walker too. We were also able to see other friends/neighbors which was a lot of fun.
Golfing....I think he may have used every one of Pappy's tees. He put three or four in his pockets. Every time I turned around I think he was back in Pappy's man cave getting more.
She really likes that thumb and I think I would really like it if she could use it every time she wakes up during her naps to get herself back to sleep instead of finding the paci and putting it in.
It was a pleasure watching Blake at his first game and also watching Josh be the coach. He has such a gift when it comes to teaching and helping the little players. I am always impressed and proud of how well he does.
Blair loves Baby Kinsley. She ask for her constantly, holds her, and hopefully some day they will be great friends.
The kids went for rides on Pappy's tractor. This was a favorite for me because we used to do the same thing with our Pappy.
Girls' Day...
We all got pedicures. Macie kept saying how wonderful it was and asking Mom and I if we liked it. It was nice to be pampered. After getting home from our pedicures, Macie filled the water and got everything ready for Kinsley's first pedicure.
Golfing Buddies
They golfed together while we pampered ourselves. Weston was beyond excited. He was so happy to see his real clubs.
Pappy and Weston let Macie and me tag along when they went to play another round of golf. This was my first time to watch Weston play nine holes. I absolutely loved it because he loves it so much. He listens to his Pappy, gets in and out of the cart on his own, and gets the correct club when Pappy tells him too. I think he was showing off when he took the flag out and layed it down. He knows his sport. Macie may have distracted him here and there. Once she gave him tons of hand sanitizer and then another time she was yelling at him to have a snack. She and I were in our own cart. We had a good time giggling, watching the boys, and driving crazy. Well, Macie decided to do the crazy driving. Thanks to Nonnie for staying home with Kinsley.
MY FAVORITE
Macie decided to hit the ball once. After that she wasn't really interested. However, she did make sand angels in the bunkers.
Pappy took the kids on "the secret trails" to look for fossils. They loved it. Macie and Weston went through the trees all around my parents' house several times on "adventures." I loved listening to them talk about all they saw.
All the cousins were together to celebrate Blake turning 5. They had a grand 'ol time at the Maverick.
Nonnie and Kinsley loved the birthday celebration until Nonnie felt WARMTH on her body. She soon discovered that Kinsley had a MAJOR BlOW OUT! The good thing was that I grabbed an extra outfit right before we walked out. The funny thing was Blake's ninja party had green cupcakes and green Jello; therefore, it looked like Nonnie had food on her clothes...or that is what Reagan thought not realizing it wasn't food.
I am not sure what Ninja Turtle Sheldon is but he could probably save the world.
Blake is always loving on Kinsley.
I think we got all the cousins in on this picture. The problem was someone would let go of their balloon and cry so I didn't get a single one where they were all looking.
BIG HUGE ENORMOUS NEWS!!!
After a year of saying her tooth was loose, Macie lost her first tooth at McDonalds. We were eating with our sweet friends/fam, Amanda and girls when all of the sudden I see a tooth on the table. I thought I was going to be sick thinking, "Oh my goodness, a tooth was in Macie's food." It was like slow motion when I went to pick it up. Then I realized it was her tooth and we were overwhelmed with excitement. Amanda even was emotional. I couldn't believe it. Macie couldn't believe it. She couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the day. She kept saying, "I can't believe my tooth just fell out."
AND ANOTHER ONE IS LOOSE!
Ready for the Tooth Fairy
WE had ONE really warm day and when the temperature feels warm, my sweet girl pulls out the swimsuit every time. I tried to enforce NO WATER; however, they managed to play in it anyway. I thought it was too cold but Macie and Weston loved it. Weston did have a suit on but it was too big and kept falling off.
Watching Golf
We were excited to go see Papaw and Grammy...and the cousins for a long weekend before heading back to Missouri. We also got to celebrate both Grammy and Papaw's birthdays! One of Macie and Weston's favorite places to go in Tyler is the Science Place. Weston says something about "rabbits" when we talk about it; however, there isn't a single rabbit. We were glad to have time with everyone.
This is a new ball/air exhibit where we spent a lot of time.
Jackson impressed us with his new sport, La Cross. Weston enjoyed playing with him too. Again I always appreciate how good Jackson and Jillian are with our kids.
To the grassy hill they go!
Down the hill the kids fly in the wagon and love it. However, I sent them in the wrong direction a couple of times and they wound up in the trees.
Weston picked Grammy flowers while playing golf.
These two have a ladybug...too bad it didn't survive very long when they kept sharing it.
At one point all the seats were taken and Zack squeezed in by Chris. I had to get my camera! Glad they are used to it.
Weston is hollering, "CHEESE."
