Christmas

Christmas time is one of my very favorite times of  the year.  We get to celebrate the birth of Jesus!  We get to spend time with family!  We get to do fun Christmas crafts!  We get to see Santa through Macie and Weston's eyes. This December/Christmas season was by far one of my favorites.  We have been surrounded by family the entire month.  My kids were able to enjoy time with grandparents and cousins constantly.  It was also very nice having  extra help while Zack was working out of town.  I was able to just love on and give Kinsley lots of attention, and she also got lots of cuddling, kisses, and attention from all who love her which made my heart extra happy.  Knowing that "the move" was right around the corner made me value this time all the more.  I know in some cultures the whole family or parents live with their children.  I always thought that would be a little different but I discovered it is really special gift!  I thank God for our December.

Craft Time

Yes, that is my son in shorts even though snow is still on the ground.  When we went out to play  that day Macie said, "Mom, it feels like summer."  There is nothing better than TEXAS weather!

Almost always when Weston has a good hit he will hold his follow through and even glance down at his foot.

Macie and Kinsley are playing with Santa.  Nonnie has a Santa's Little People house that was a huge hit!

Just like a typical man...TAKING his time sitting on the potty.  Although Weston is playing a game instead of reading a book.
 Balloon Bath Party

We went to visit Santa with Blake and Blair.  The kids had lots of fun.  Elves made Christmas balloons.  There was face painting, crafts, and hay rides.  The kids also wrote letters to Santa and it was a WONDERFUL SURPRISE to get a letter back from him.

Oh m goodness, how sweet can Kinsley be!  It's hard to believe that she was a month old at Christmas.  Kinsley arrived and just fit right into our family.  It feels like she has always been her.  We just love her to pieces.

Weston helped Nonnie give Kinsley a real bath.  She liked it so much better than her sponge baths.

We went to Tyler to celebrate Christmas.  There were several warm days while we were there so Kinsley was able to help take Rosie on a walk.  My helper, Weston, wanted to push his sister.

Jillian is a PRO!  We love that she is so good with her little cousins.
Snow...Grammy found this fun idea on Pinterest.  We laughed because the kids' pictures on Pinterest were all clean and neat. OUR SNOW was lots of fun but by the end of SNOW the kids, Grammy, and the porch were covered with SNOW.
Aunt Barbara was so sweet to come and meet Kinsley.  I loved showing her off.

 Gingerbread decorating
Alayna got a teapot from her Aunt Lori.  Kylan and Weston enjoyed their tea.  Kylan would dance while the music played and Weston would laugh hysterically.
How in the world can Finley and Macie almost be 5 in this pictures.  They sure do enjoy each other's company.
Kinsley loved taking a nap with Papaw.

Grammy and Papaw with all 8 grandchildren.
Grammy cuddling with Kinsley, too!  Kinsley loves to be held.

While Weston and Kylan had a tea party, Finley and Macie had a skirt dress up party.  They got a kick out of putting these clothes on.  I LOVE COUSIN time!  It makes my heart happy!

The Burleson Christmas
It melts my heart that Blake ask all the time to hold Kinsley.

Nonnie is telling Kinsley that she is a good girl.  Nonnie would also talk to Kinsley and she would respond by moving her mouth and her tongue.  So Macie loved helping Kinsley talk too!
 Pappy and his girls.
Cookies for Santa
This year Macie said over and over that she wanted to make Santa mint cookies.  Zack found a recipe and we made some delicious mint cookies.  Santa left a letter telling us that they were his favorite.  (They are a new favorite for me too.)

Christmas morning
Nonnie and Pappy were excited to share Christmas morning with us.  They were up before all of us waiting on the kids to wake up.  I just knew Macie would be up by 6 but of all days she slept in until 7 which worked out because Kinsley woke early that morning and I was able to feed her before we went into the living room to see what Santa left for THREE GOOD kids!

 Pappy and Weston working
Macie and Weston were just excited to help Kinsley open her presents.  I love how sweet they are to her.
 PRESS-ON NAILS
Santa left Macie a Pocahontas costume.
Uncle Sheldon meets Kinsley!  We were super sad that Reagan and Bradt didn't get to come because he was so sick.  Lucky for us thought we stopped by their house in Oklahoma on our way to Missouri.  We were very glad Sheldon, Jackson, and Cage came to Nonnie's.  Macie and Blake needed their cousins there to play with!
 Little Momma
Blair is a perfect little momma already!  She loved on Kinsley, gave her a bottle, burped her, changed a diaper, and wanted to hold her constantly!  Someday these two are going to be great friends.

Pappy and Nonnie with 7 of the 8 grandchildren...wish we could photoshop Brandt in the picture.  When the kids opened their presents all at once we heard lots of squeals  and screams of excitement. It was a sweet sound.
 Smiling
 Bayblades were the BEST PRESENT!

My mom is my best friend.  I just love her to pieces!
Popping the shoulder(it's supposed to make you look skinny or so it seems on Facebook that all the girls do it).  We practiced and practiced and laughed and laughed.  My brothers have always been such a huge support to me.  I am praying that Macie, Weston, and Kinsley have the same brother/sister bond.  Kinsley wasn't impressed or so that look on her face says.

Another pop of the shoulder with my sis-in-law.

Celebrating Macie's 5th birthday with her cousins.
We had a cousin birthday party because we have several birthday right together.  Macie had to wear her new favorite party dress from Aunt Amy!
