Spring Break has come and gone and what a fun-filled week we had with our family. There is something special about crossing the Texas line and knowing you are back to where you came from. HOME! I get back to Texas and I feel home which I think is because I am back with the family I love. I went back to my hometown and it felt like going home as well. The memories of my childhood flooded back and there was something special about seeing for miles. Then I came back home to Chesterfield and my waiting family and that was HOME! I couldn't get enough of my kids. So again I come to the conclusion that HOME for me is family and friends we share life with...not just a house.
Before our Spring Break, Nonnie had hers and so she came to visit us for a few days before we made the drive. It was a great delight surprising the kids. They had no idea she was coming. As we pulled up the the airport, Weston started asking if Nonnie was there. Then Nonnie went to Macie's school and surprised her with lunch. Macie had a look of shock on her face. Spring break was filled with some good cousin time which is always great. I love watching the cousins play and play for hours. We were able to enjoy a gorgeous day at the zoo. The kids caught lots of fish with their Pappy, Weston golfed, we took Macie to Cinderella, we relaxed and enjoyed our time at Nonnie and Pappy's house! It is never easy to say good bye and the time always goes to fast. A fun surprise while in Fort Worth was that I ran in to some good friends at the mall and then again at the zoo. It felt good just seeing people you know. After leaving Nonnie's, we swung by the airport and picked up Zack. Kinsley couldn't stop saying, "Daddy!" We went to Grammy and Papaw's for more fun family time and more cousin time! Even though it was rainy, the kids didn't seem to notice. They had great fun at the bounce house place and dying Easter eggs, finding Easter eggs that Jillian hid in the house. Another highlight of our time back in Texas was Kinsley was able to meet both of her great grandmothers. I know she may not remember but it was pretty special to me. After a trip home to Friona, Kinsley and I flew home and God answered many prayers about the flight home...Kinsley was perfect. She loved looking at the plane as it pulled up to the gate. Being back home felt pretty good. Even though I was only apart from the bigger kids for days, they were so sweet. Macie said she missed my pretty smile and Weston liked my pretty glasses. They along with their sweet daddy had flowers for me. They sure don't how to make me feel special.
(Once again after uploading from my camera and phone, the pictures are out of order and I could have writing errors. It just takes a little too long to move pictures around and I always seem to be in a hurry.)
Pappy was holding Kinsley the way he used to hold Macie after every bath. Macie still made sure she got her turn.
If we didn't know where Weston was, I looked in Pappy's man cave. He just started at the clubs and took Pappy's balls and tees.
We had the most beautiful day for the zoo! It was a blast...one of my favorite zoo trips (and the longest)! Kinsley really enjoyed it.
We enjoyed spending time with some of our family when stopping in Plainview.
