First Slumber Party

Macie had her first sleepover last week. Blake came over for two nights because his mommy and daddy were closing on their new house and moving in. Lyndsie dropped Blake off the night before because we thought that would be easiest and give them the whole day to work without interruption. The first night was a bit rough because we had to get dinner and baths right after Lyndsie left and Blake was missing his momma. After the kids were asleep, I asked Zack what he was thinking although I already knew...his thoughts: "We only need 1 kid." I just thought this is what twins are like. Anyway, the next day we had a blast. I took them to the gym, they went swimming in the backyard, we had lots of snacks, and lots of playing. They were perfect together and had a great time. There weren't any tears! The funny thing was during nap time, Blake woke after a short nap but was still tired. So I patted his back and rested beside him in the guest bedroom. He rested awhile but then started poking my eyes and nose. I was dozing but could tell he was ready to play. At around that time, Macie was completely awaking banging her crib. Blake looked at me like "PLEASE CAN WE PLAY NOW." I just laughed. Although the naps were short, the afternoon was great. They played in Macie's room and in the living room. I even looked through a magazine. Thursday morning I took Blake home...his momma was ready to see him but I was sad to see him go. SO was Macie. Friday morning when I went to get Macie out of bed she wanted down immediately. She walked to Blake's room, said his name which I think she says Blape, and was sad when he wasn't in there. I had to remind Macie that he was at his home. SO THE FIRST SLUMBER PARTY was a SUCCESS! We will have to do it again!

Macie and Blake take this reading pretty seriously! They sat in the rocker for a good 10 minutes or so looking at the photo album and reading books. Macie climbed up there so Blake wanted up there as well! What a cute set of cousins.

Isn't it cute how both of their feet are crossed.
Bedtime story the first night.
WOKE Up HAPPY...but all his excitement didn't wake Macie for 30 more minutes. She must have forgotten it was her first sleepover.
BREAKFAST...Blake's Daddy and Mommy skyped Blake to say good morning. Josh then played peek-a-boo. Macie played back with "Osh."
Too Cute for Words
Macie and Blake took turns pushing each other around in the stroller.

Swimming in the backyard and playing with some new swim toys.
Macie was showing Blake how she rolls the ball back and forth through the table. He got the hang of it quickly since he loves balls and they played for a little while.
Blocks...and they all fall down. Blake started throwing blocks at one point. Macie laughed and then they both started throwing them. I had to make that little game end quickly!
Loving on the dogs!
Macie and Blake took turns giving the dogs treats and hugs.

Another hot summer week

Macie loves looking through the photo album that I filled with pictures of her, family, and friends. It is a daily activity!
I think she looks so big here!
BIG BUMP!
Macie fell walking in from the garage. I didn't realize her head was all scraped up until a little later. Poor thing!
Uncle Buster came for a visit and stayed 2 weeks. He endured Macie trying to ride him like a horse. I think they both like each other lots!
MMMMM...Macie loved tyring my red drink out!
A GREAT WAY TO COOL DOWN!
I think Macie looks like me here! I will have to find the picture at my mom's but for some reason I remember this one picture of Sheldon and me in the bathtub and I feel like this is how I looked.
Showing off a pretty dress!
UNCOMFORTABLE!!!

She Makes Me Laugh

Yesterday I was getting ready to put Macie down for her nap. We usually read a few books, look at pictures, and rock for a little bit. She got down out of my lap, said baby, picked her blanket up, and stood by her crib. I put her baby in beside her. I think it is funny that she turned her over on her belly just like the way she sleeps. She was too tired for our routine. OH and she is wearing her swimsuit just because she wanted to put it on. We were not swimming before or after nap. She loves wearing it. This isn't the first time she has worn it just because.
Macie ripped one of her pages out of her book. I am not too thrilled with that but I love that she loves looking at all her pictures.
In her swimsuit again!
Last winter I bought this cute little set: a doll, highchair, stroller, and bed. Macie loves playing with all of them. However, she more than once has gotten in it and has tried to lay in it. Can't she see she is just too big!
On this day Macie picked out her t-shirt that Blake brought her from Mexico to wear over her outfit. Macie loves getting out all her pjs and diapers. She carries them around for some reason. I guess she really likes clothes.
Ok, this picture was taken back in June on my phone. I figured out that I could send the pictures to Snapfish and then I downloaded it. It just makes me laugh out loud. That day we were at Sam Moon and Macie held Blake a bit while I pushed her. I don't think he liked it too much!

This Weekend

We went to the Ranger game on Sunday with Josh, Lyndsie and Blake. It was a chore for a few innings. Macie and Blake wanted to climb up and down the stairs, move around anywhere they could go, and eat all their snacks. After some time, they both settled down and even stayed in a seat awhile. Of course, Macie had a water bottle with ice in it that she was pouring on herself but it kept her entertained. She also kept Blake and Macie would clap when everyone else did. It was super hot outside but we had seats behind home plate in the shade. That was perfect!!!

Blake loved the cotton candy but Macie didn't like it one bit. She did like feeding it to Blake. This kept Blake and Macie content for a little while.
Uncle Buster has come for a visit. Buster is staying with us while my parents are visiting my brother and his family in Germany. Macie likes him too! She gives him hugs. He jumped on the ottoman while Macie was rocking and feeding her babies. Buster isn't quite sure why he is here but he seems to like it. WE took all the dogs for a walk and Macie only wanted to hold Buster's leash.
SPIDER!
I don't think I have ever seen a spider this big at my house. It gives me the shivers looking at it and thinking that we were so close to it. YUCK! Zack and Macie found it in her wagon. She was trying to pick it up. What...is she crazy? She doesn't have a fear of them yet. She will probably learn that fear trait from me!!

18 Months

Macie went in for her 18 month check-up. She met her new doctor and we both liked her immediately. I was very pleased with Dr. Hunt. The fun thing is she went to school with my sister-in-law, Amy, and she also went to school with Macie's previous doctor. Macie is developing as she should be. As of now she is weighing at 25.2 lbs (60%) and is 33 1/2 in tall (93 %). Dr. Hunt said her height should gradually taper off. Macie has very long legs.

Reading while waiting on the doctor.
Tuckered out! No shots though so she was a happy girl.
I asked Macie to show me the sticker she got from the doctor and this is the face she gave me.

LOVES LOVES LOVES Baby Toys

These things are out in the extra bedroom because Macie plays with them almost daily as you can see. They have been in the living room, her room and now in the extra room. She says baby repeatedly when she sees them, crawls in them, and puts her babies in each thing as well. Today I was ironing in the extra bedroom and she went into the closet where the swing and jump toy are..luckily the jump toy is taken apart or she would be in it too. Anyway, she shut the door while in there. I checked on her and found her in the swing. I grabbed the camera and took a short video...sorry it is sideways. This is from the other day in when she was in the bath tub.

Firecrackers go "Pop"

Zack decided we needed to get more firecrackers on Sunday for Macie and Blake. (I think more for himself.) When you ask Macie what a firecracker says, she answers, "POP!" It is really cute.
Not to impressed with the firecrackers.
One Zack got was so loud I thought the kids would lose their hearing.
Nonnie and Pappy helping Macie go down the slide.
Blake loving the water. He isn't worried about getting his face and hair wet like Macie.
Face first

4th of July

Getting ready for the firecrackers.
We went to Zack's parent's house this weekend. It was fun to have the whole family together. Jackson and Jillian are great big cousins to Finley and Macie. They are such good examples. It rained some but we didn't let that stop us. We even did a little swimming while it was still raining. Macie and Finley weren't so sure about that but loved it once it stopped raining.
Grammy had to hold Macie for a few of the fireworks. She really liked them but sometimes couldn't decide whether to be scared or just enjoy.
Macie wants her daddy a lot. She ask for him all the time.
I love this little girl so much!
Macie didn't want to share the stroller with Finley..gonna have to work on that. Finley and Macie had a good time together. They loved playing with the toys and swimming together. They are almost the same height! He is all boy and Macie seems to be all girl!
Jackson got to light firecrackers this year. Here he is just holding a sparkler.

Jillian is just a bit nervous about getting burned.
Michael Jackson reenactment but without something over Macie's face. Just kidding!!!
Macie loves doing things like this...not scared at all.
Cousins
Peek-a-Boo
Macie was laughing like crazy. She was loving that Jackson was giving her so much attention.
Kiss! I love this picture!
Again...I wonder how old she is...she bounced around after Grammy got it out for her.
Jackson rode the wagon down the hill and Macie needed Grammy to carry her. However, after Finley got to Grammy's and we went for a walk, he ran the entire block wiping sweat from his head as he paced himself and Macie rode in the wagon cheering him on. He takes after his momma and daddy.
Wagon Ride
Macie smiled biggest when Jackson and Jillian were running or going over bumps.
