We continued our "beginning of summer fun" with the best cousins. I say, "Best Cousins" because that is how they refers to each other as. The kids did a lot of playing in the water and took full advantage of their time together.

Best Cousins
The older these three get I am certain the more fun they will have just like the older cousins.

Cousins in Austin
We love visiting Chris, Amy and the kids in Austin. We are in for a fun filled time with them every time we venture that way. They kids play to their hearts content, stay up late, and enjoy each other's company so much. We love spending time with Chris and Amy too! It is always nice to talk while watching the kids play. I am very thankful for this family and the friendship we share!
THE SUPER HEROES!
Weston needs a costume for sure....this time he was the bad guy. He would say, "Bad guy." I think I would rather him be a hero!
Miss Alayna has grown a ton since seeing her last. WHAT a sweet sweet BABY GIRL!
Macie LOVES babies! Finley was asking her to play and she just wanted to spend extra time with Alayna. I can only imagine how much she will love her newest little sibling.

The Small Things
Sometimes the small things in life seem to be the biggest or most special! It is easy to overlook little things or things that don't seem so important. However, when you look back at pictures or think back about the day's events the small things can bring the biggest smiles. Today I had a few of those moments. On the way to church, I turned around and Weston gave me my favorite smile of his. All his teeth were showing, his eyes squinted, and he just looked like the most handsome, sweetest boy around. Then as we were walking into church Macie said, "Weston, can you say God." I love that she teaches him just by talking. Finally I am almost certain I have felt the baby move twice. It is the most amazing feeling because like all moms you wait to feel the baby there. It is a feeling like non other to have someone moving around getting all comfy in there. I know I have said it a million times but I treasure all "our moments" as a family. Who cares about the dirty floors, hand prints on the fridge, walls and back door or the cobwebs hanging from the corner (Macie pointed them out to a bug guy trying to sell his product). I can clean it all and it just gets dirty but I know it 10, 20, 50 years from now I will think back or look at all the pictures I take and SMILE because "MOMENTS" matter most.
And here are a few others...
Macie has felt extremely BIG with the ROLE as big sister to Weston and her future sibling. She has been helping me take pictures of the growth of our sweet baby in my tummy. She loves getting to use my real camera which is forbidden to touch. As she was taking the 12 week picture, Weston melted my heart because he ran up and put his hands on my belly without any prompting. Does he get it that he is going to be a big brother? What an important ROLE he will play as well!
"Don't worry, Mom. I've got it. I am changing Weston's diaper." These words have never been spoken until recently. When I heard them while getting dressed I rushed in the room thinking I just changed his diaper. To my surprise Weston was sitting as still as can be as Macie changed a poop diaper. Not only did she change this diaper but has changed two other poop diapers. NOW that is impressive because they are pretty AWFUL! She told Zack that she didn't smell anything because she kept "her mouth closed."
ROCK STAR!
Macie was the ROCK STAR again at school. She was thrilled when I told her it was her turn to be the Rock star because she gets to be the leader, point the learning stick, and bring a book to school. She picked out her ROCK STAR shirt to wear! At the beginning of the year, she kept saying, "I am trying to stay on green so I can be the Rock star." They didn't even have colors but she remembered it from the first preschool she attended for about a month.
This umbrella has been a highlight of Macie's playing days. Never would her Nonnie or I have imagined that when Nonnie bought it for her she would play with it constanly.
WATER can bring so much happiness!
"THE GUNS" as Weston calls them have been a great little investment along with the other ones they have. Hours of fun for them to play with and for me to watch or dodge water being squirted.
Macie finished preschool for the year. She was very blessed to have wonderful teachers and friends in her class. Her teachers were always telling me the sweet or funny things she said during the day. They said she could be her own reality show. Macie says some pretty funny things and doesn't even realize how they sound.
How she has grown! We love watching her grow but also wish time could just stand still. At beginning of the year, she wanted to be a mermaid. She changed it to teacher when I asked for the picture. Actually she has wanted to be lots of things: dancer, ballerina, cheerleader, teacher, nastics girl(Gymnastics), and doctor to deliver her sibling. Macie can be whatever she desires! I can only imagine! I love this girl "way way more than she will ever know."
