We loved counting down until Easter. It was lots of fun to do crafts and also to help the kids see the importance of Christ and his resurrection.
The first day of the count down the kids had bread in their egg to symbolize Jesus sharing the meal with the disciples...Weston immediately ate his and said, "MMM!" I bet he will get it more next year.
Easter Eggs
Bunny Project
There is no surprise that paint is all over Weston. I think it is his favorite part.
Macie isn't impressed with me at the moment because she wanted to make an Easter egg and we were making crosses. Most projects seem to go this way. I tell her what we are making and she always has a different idea.
We picked Nonnie and Pappy up at the airport bright and early Friday morning! The kids took both of them a flower. We were all so excited to see them! It's been a month since we saw them last and it sure felt great spending the weekend with them again. We loved every minute of the trip. The weather was amazing. My parents were able to see all the trees in bloom which is just beautiful. We were able to celebrate Easter and enjoy fun, family time. I was pretty sad to see them leave and cried; however, it just felt great having someone we love so much spend time with us at our house with us, too! I was glad for my Dad to come back up because he hadn't been here since he helped move us in. My parents were also able to meet all our neighbors and see the kids play with their new friends. We are already counting down until the next time...
We went to the City Museum which is probably the coolest kids museum! I really don't have words to describe it. All I know is it's great and we didn't even get to explore every part of it. We will definitely go back.
Macie is going to an underground tunnel which is under a huge whale.
WE climbed all through this. There are all sorts of need slides and tunnels, and fun things. Who needs an Ipad or TV when you can go somewhere like this. THIS is a kid's dream.
Pappy said he thinks he play 72 rounds of golf. Weston played golf pretty much the entire time with Pappy! Pappy would sit down and Weston would say, "play golf with me."
Dying Easter Eggs
Parker is Macie's sweet friend and neighbor. We are very thankful they have each other. All the other neighbors are boys which are great too! Macie gave Parker a gift and said that she was giving it to her because "I love her." It was such a sweet friendship moment.
The Girls
Easter basket scavenger hunt
Weston has his golf belt on.
I could have probably put all the pictures of Kinsley on here because she just looked so cute. I love her smile! She is the best baby. She is so easy going and crying really isn't her thing.
She is always sticking that tongue out.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my precious kids. God sacrificed his SON for us...for these three! What love that is! I know how much I love my children so to try and comprehend that love...
Notice band aids...they were in their baskets. Kinsley even has one on. As of today, Macie has used all of hers and Weston is close. We went to the gym and he had seven total on his body. I made sure to tell the ladies that they were just pretend.
Snowing in APRIL
Yes, we did get a little bit of snow in April but this is the kind I like...it looked like it was snowing as the flower blooms fell of the trees. The kids loved it! I wanted to capture the beauty of it on my camera. Oh it was just so pretty. I love looking out my kitchen window and seeing trees. On that note, when Macie and were in the three season room working today on letters she said, "I just can't concentrate on my letters. Look at this view."
We missed not hunting with our sweet cousins this year and Macie even asked if Blake could come hunt eggs with us; however, I think they did pretty good finding eggs and stuffing candy in their mouths as fast as possible.
We know if Weston says, "I'M HUNGRY"...he only wants candy. He is "HUNGRY" a lot!
