18 Month and 4 Year Check Up

Even Macie and Weston were a little late on their latest check ups and shots because the doctor had a maybe we decided to TACKLE them both at the same time!  What a good decision!  Macie was absolutely excited about going to the doctor.  She was eager to weigh, get measured, and have her blood pressure taken.  She even told the nurse that she knew how the gadget worked because she had one at home.  Macie  did great on her eye and hearing check.  When she first began to read the letters she couldn't see the 20/20 line and said, "Sometimes kids can see the lines."  She did great on 20/30.  Weston was a pro at all his little things he had to do.  Macie is  98% in height and has grown 8 inches since she was two.  Weston is 99% in height and is about 1 1/2 inches taller than what Macie was at 18 months.  We did have a little drama even before we actually got to the shots. Weston bit Macie and he bit her hard.  I am hoping this is a one time thing because neither of us were impressed.  Shots were a success.  Macie did cry a little and so did Weston; however, the sucker and sticker brought the tears to an end. Macie did say in the car that she "was definately scared of shots" and "she didn't want to do that again for a long time."  I told her she was very brave but she said she wasn't because she cried.  I assured her that she did great!

Macie was eager to do everything that she was instructed.  Weston doesn't look so sure that he likes having his temperature taken.

Weekend in Tyler

We went to Tyler this past weekend to celebrate Paul's 60th birthday.  We also competed/enjoyed the Azalea Run again this year.  Too bad the weather was not as enjoyable being that it was a bit cold.  However, we all finished and did great.  It was a lot of fun for the cousins to play together.  They always have such a wonderful time.

I didn't get enough pictures of this sweet little face. Macie is Alayna's biggest fan.  She just loves to hold her and spend time with her.
Dying eggs was a blast for the whole group of cousins!  They loved it!

Papaw is helping Weston find his Easter eggs. I think he was interested in throwing them like balls.

Kylan and Weston played together a little more this time than ever before.  It was very sweet to watch. I think they will be great buddies as they grow just like Finley and Macie are!  Weston even gave him a couple of hugs.

Here are 6 out of the 7 egg hunters.   Miss Alayna had to take a nap!  WHAT FUN!!!

Grammy always gets a work out in when it comes to the WAGON RIDES!  They loving riding up and down the driveway.
 My favorite pictures!

Just hanging out eating some breakfast

 Happy 60th Birthday, Papaw!

Planting Our Garden

After church one Sunday, it was so pretty!  We decided to plant our garden but will hold off on flowers another week.  It is a good thing we did being that we have had to cover our plants the last two nights. Macie and Weston were big helps.  They had a great time picking out plants at the store.  Weston insisted on carrying his plants and putting them in the basket.  They also loved all the water displays and stuck their hands in each one of those.  I love that we have a garden.  Last year we were successful with growing most of our plants so hopefully we will be able to enjoy food from the garden this year.  Macie's responsibility will be to water the plants every other day.  So far she is doing a great job!  Weston's responsibility will be to NOT pull up any of the plants.  So far so good on that too!

GARDENING PANTS instead of plumber pants!

 Checking out the worms

Just a Little Bit of This and That

 GO TECH!
Macie had her clothes out the night before so she would be ready to go the next morning when her friends arrived.

These girls are changing clothes every few minutes it seems.  They have so much fun playing!
You wouldn't know it was spring after the last few cold days.  However, last week we had some awesome weather.  Macie and Hayden were begging to play in the water.
This dare devil fell off the wall in our back yard and scraped his belly all up.  We love that our backyard is level and also has the wall.  However, this is probably not the only injury that will come from it.
As soon as he is finished with his shower, Weston takes off running through the house.  It is part of the game he plays and is trying to get away from the bath towel..
So TIME OUT seems to be a place Weston visits often!  Boy oh boy, he has some big 'ol meltdowns, thinks it is funny to throw his food, and finds himself in this spot sooner than I ever thought he would be.  I hope that we break some of the bad habits.  I am impressed that he usually sits there until I come get him.  He also is very sweet when Macie is in time out and sits beside her.
Macie was thrilled for me to come see her light!  She decorated it all by herself. No worries because we are not using it as a lamp since it is probably a fire hazard.

Spring Break with the BEST COUSINS

We had a wonderful time with all the cousins this past week.  The excitement was endless, the weather was amazing, and the time really went too fast.  Once again the kids just loved their time together and played their hearts out.

Weston is standing on the new toy Nonnie got for the kids.  He was trying to jump off as well.  He is jumping off everything. (I can't enough of this boy!  He just makes me smile and I love that he says "CHEESE" when I take his picture.
Macie dressed up for her cousins in her Cinderella costume.

Frozen yogurt is the perfect snack on a warm day!  We just needed Blake and Blair to fill the other two chairs.
Weston stayed with Dad Thursday morning while Macie, Mom and I went for our ANNUAL SPRING BREAK sunglasses shopping.  We had such a great time. Weston had fun with Pappy too! Pappy even had to change a yucky diaper!  Weston wanted Pappy to do EVERYTHING with him for the rest of the day.  Weston took Pappy's finger to go outside, play golf and to go down the slide.

 Such a pretty girl!
Someday soon these little ones will have a great time together too!

The boys took their shirts off for dinner so Macie took off her dress.  She only has a short time left where she can do this and get away with it.  I remember always wanting to be like my brothers and take my shirt off in the backyard.
 My FAVORITE PICTURE
We went to the park Friday morning.  Once again the weather and kids were great!  They had such a good time.

For Blake's 4th birthday he had the best cousins over for a camp out.  They had a tent, their first camp fire and smores!  Lyndsie had treasure buried for them to find and they went on an adventure exploring in the trees behind Josh's house.  They had a blast.  The kids ended up sleeping inside but that is ok.

Saturday we met at the park to finish off the birthday part.  Blake had a Super Hero party.  Jackson and Cage gave him a cape like theirs and Macie wore her super girl costume.  At one point, I told the kids to be careful and Blake said, "Rachel, we are super heroes.  We are brave."

SWEET SWEET KIDS!  I love them all!
