Memaw Comes for a Visit

My grandmother came for a visit over a week ago now! We had a lot of fun with her! She really enjoyed playing with Macie and Blake. We kept her busy and I think she loved it! Of course, the kids loved having her here too! We went shopping, out to eat, and the highlight was going to Chuck E Cheese! Blake and Macie loved riding the rides and I didn't mind playing some of the games myself.
Blake and Macie's Great Grandmother
The only reason I took this picture is because Macie wanted the dress part of her outfit off. So Blake then decided he wanted his pants off too! They like to do things the same. Each time Macie goes to the potty, Blake goes too! He has now gotten so good at saying Macie. He will try to take her hand and say, "Come on, Macie." It is the sweetest thing. Also when you ask him who he loves his response is often "Macie."

Blake and Macie are hiding under the table waiting for Pappy! This is one of their favorite hiding places even though they can be clearly seen.

Aunt Lyndsie is making Macie's hair pretty...first french braids which by the way I have no idea how to do.

"Move over, Blake! Let me drive!"

Merry Go Round

It's funny that Macie loved this horse and wanted it to go faster, but when she was on the real thing at the stock show she was very scared!

"Macie, hop on the back. I am waiting!"

SCORE!
Blake had it all figured out! He would throw the balls in the higher numbered holes. However, Macie would just bend down and put hers in. Unfortunately, she would always put it in the ZERO points hole.

Memaw and Nonnie took Blake and Macie on this toy that moved, vibrated, and made you feel like you were on a roller coaster!

Every time Macie gets out of the bath, she is wrapped up and Pappy holds his "baby." She googoos and really plays the part of acting like a baby! She is actually acting like she is sleeping. This day Pappy had two tired babies.

SNOW DAYS BEHIND US

Wow what a snow/ice storm we had about 2 weeks ago! I just never know whether to believe the predictions or not but the weatherman hit it right on the mark with this one! The snow and ice kept us inside for a good 4 days. I couldn't believe how thick the ice was! Zack was home with us one day but then went to work on the others. I thought about getting out a couple of times but decided it wasn't worth it. We had nowhere we had to be and I didn't want to chance a wreck with Macie in the car...or this little one growing inside me! By the end of the week, I had cabin fever but Macie was GREAT the entire week! I couldn't complain about that. She didn't even fuss! We enjoyed several pajama days, watched lots of Mickey Mouse Club and Dora the Explorer, played babies/kitchen, and did as much as we could to stay entertained. I have been trying to do little craft activities with Macie lately. So we tried to do some different things each day. We baked cookies and muffins. (Lots of Taste Testing on the muffins...no worries it is only a cake mix and pumpkin. Eggs aren't in them. THESE are Macie's FAVORITE!) We played in Cool Whip, made necklaces, colored, tried using scissors, and basically had some good mommy/daughter fun.

"Our Craps"---that is what Macie called them instead of "CRAFTS!
Macie wasn't so sure where or what to do in the beginning with the Cool Whip. Once I started playing with it she got the hang of making shapes and hand prints. She kept saying, "My hand print."

Lots of TASTE Testing

After baking cookies and muffins the first day and playing with Cool Whip, Macie did the dishes each time. She washed dishes for about 30 minutes each day which also included soaking her clothes and the floor! We went through several towels and lots of dishwashing soap. Hey but who cares...it's a snow day!

Reading to her baby

I had these bath toys that I hadn't given Macie yet. So she got them this week and enjoyed playing in the bath several times!

I thought the necklaces were such a great idea. However, I did most of the stringing and Macie did all of the eating! This was Macie's first time to eat Fruit Loops so she kept repeating, "Yummy!"

12 Weeks

I am thrilled to know that I am 1 trimester down from meeting the newest McClung. I am feeling better and better. My energy level seems back to normal. The other day I cleaned house like I did before I got pregnant meaning I was faster and actually enjoyed it! I wasn't just thinking that I needed a nap. My belly seems to be getting bigger which I can't complain about other than pants are tight so I have gotten out my bella bands to help! We compared this belly to my Macie belly. This belly looks about like my 16-20 week belly.

I went to the doctor today and all seems to be just wonderful! Zack and I got to hear the sweet sound of our baby's heart. The baby has a heart rate of 160 bpm. So BOY OR GIRL has been our debate over the last few weeks. I am about 70% sure it is a girl. My nausea and clear face have made me think boy since that was different than Macie but for some reason I feel stronger that it is a girl. One night I woke thinking we have to come up with a girl name now since we don't have one! So I did some searching on the Internet for about an hour the next day. I have also read the wives' tales, taken a pregnancy quiz, and read the Chinese calender. All seem to point to girl! The only other reason I think it is a girl is because before we got pregnant I just felt like we would have a girl. Ask Macie and she is very clear that it is a "SISTER!" All in all God is in control and he has already blessed us with what we are supposed to have. More importantly a healthy baby is all we need. So we will wait until the 20 week check-up to find out.

Macie singing the ABC's

WATCH OUT WORLD...Macie has talent! I know I sure can't carry a tune but think it would be wonderful if Macie will be able to as she grows up! My dancing skills aren't so good either so hopefully she will have more rhythm than me!Last night she was singing and doing a little dancing while trying to keep up with the music. She sang the song about 3 times and I was glad to get some of it on video! Some of the songs she sings are the ABC's, Old McDonald, and There are 7 Days in a Week!

Stock Show Videos

Fort Worth Stockshow

Today we were off to the Fort Worth Stock show. The weather was amazing and that made it even better. Nonnie went with us to see all the animals. Macie loved it and I loved watching her experience it. We are going to have to continue going back each year. I just asked her what the best part was and she said, "Big Cow." However, the petting zoo was the best part. She loved the ducks. She wasn't even a tiny bit afraid of the animals but she didn't like the men who were dressed up like cows at all!
Macie and Nonnie stood the side and watched the horses for 10 minutes while we waited in line. Macie was so anxious for her turn and even cried once because she was ready to go into the horse area. However, once the horses started moving, she had a fear grip on the saddle and eventually began to cry. They were walking pretty fast. Daddy had to take her off. Her $5 ride lasted about 2 minutes tops. Macie had just finished petting a duck that ended up trying to get her with his beak. It didn't scare her off. She kept going right back to the ducks when we would try to get her to pet and feed other animals.

When the man said it was time to leave, Macie told me she wanted to "stay here."

Macie like petting the goats and they wanted the ice cream cone of food that Daddy was holding.

Macie loved riding the merry-go-round.

I couldn't believe how big some of the rabbits were or how many different kinds of rabbit there were that were being shown....I also didn't know that rabbits were shown in a stock show.

Shoes

Macie loves shoes. She likes to try on mine and her daddies. I get nervous when she picks out my high heels or tall boots. We always help her walk in them but I am thinking an ankle could be broken any second. Nonnie bought Macie these plastic shoes either before she was born or right after. She has some at her house, too! Macie loves putting them on and walking around...quite the lady. However, she jumps in them and again I get a little nervous. When I was a little girl and my Memaw would let us pick out a toy this type of shoe is what I always got. I loved wearing heels and the sound they would make. They would often crack because I would wear them so much! So Macie is like her mommy when it comes to shoes!!

Macie is also showcasing her big "CHEESE" smile!

If you notice the dog bowls, they are overflowing with food. I give them a 1/2 cup of food in the morning and evening; however, Macie feeds them like there is no tomorrow. They love her for it and chomp it down as fast as possible before I can get ahold of it and put it back in the container.

Macie is also a huge fan of her rainboots (a present from Grammy)! She is working on riding her new scooter. For the longest time we had a cousin's scooter but finally returned it. With some birthday money from Aunt Barbara, we picked this one out. Well, we were actually in Acedemy and walked by the toys. She got on it and was riding down the aisle! This is silly but I love seeing her tiny little panties, too! What a big girl she is! You get so used to patting the diapered bottom but no more of that for this little one!
