Home

Our home on a winter day.
(It wasn't too sunny so it looks a bit dreary but that is the only picture I have of our house in my files and I was too lazy to take another.)

For 5 years we have called this our home! In these 5 years we have had great times that have turned into great memories. The day we moved in Zack carried me over the threshold and mom snapped a shot with the camera. I loved waking up the next morning to the sun shining and birds singing. We were so excited to have a beautiful home. Now every spring when I wake up to the sun and birds I immediately think back to that morning and I smile. We have enjoyed making this our home and decorating the way we like it. I loved getting our first Christmas tree for our 1 year anniversary. We then got Kirby and a year later decided he needed a brother so Sebastian was adobted. I loved spending a couple of Christmas morning here with my side of the family and sharing one Thanksgiving with Zack's side of the family. We still talk about the two New Year's Eve parties we had with our friends that were lots of fun...Club 972, karoake, and good toast. We have enjoyed spending time with our good friends and watching our lives change as children entered into the picture. It has been fun working in the yard (well, Zack working really hard in the yard) and planting flowers. We love our neighbors and friends in the neighborhood and couldn't ask for more. Probably the best memories I will take from living here were watching Zack's shocked face when he found out we were pregnant, waking in the middle of the night to go to the hospital (taking one final pick of us and the dogs), and then bringing our precious daughter home. We became a family here and have loved watching Macie enjoy almost a 1 1/2 years of her life here. She started out so tiny and dependent and has already grown to be so determined and full of life. We watched her roll over, sit up, take her first steps, eat food, and now just be a sweet little toddler. I have loved going in her room at night and watching her sleep. Macie has filled this house and our lives with joy, excitement, and love.

Now we move to Fort Worth (Keller ISD) which is going to be great for us too! Zack will no longer travel far to work everyday and we will get to enjoy him more in the evenings. What a stress relief to not have to endure traffic for an hour each day on the way home. We will be closer to my family which will be fun. Mom and I can shop together and I know Zack will be thrilled with not having to do that. I look forward to finding a church were we can grow as a family and Macie can learn about God. I am excited to meet new friends. I look forward to watching Macie continue to grow in this house. We will someday get to make cookies together and do fun little things. I look forward to bringing home a brother or sister for Macie. I look forward to decorating and putting our touch on the house. I am excited for what is in store for our family.

It is easy to get caught up in wanting the more expensive and bigger house, the better neighborhood..all the wants. There for awhile I was doing that and am glad Zack put up with me when I had forgotten what is important in life. I am getting to live my dream of being a stay at home mom and for that I feel blessed. It isn't that house that matters but the people within that are most important. Our home, our family, and the cherished life experiences and memories will be what matter most. Let's move in and begin!!

Our new home..the actual front door isn't on it yet because it had just been finished. I will update the blog with more pictures once we get settled. I am excited to see Zack fix the front up with flowers.

Playing, Playing, Playing

Macie is as busy as a bee! If I turn my head for a second she is either turning the bath water on, eating dog food (heard her say, "mmm" again this morning), or finding something else to explore. She keeps me on my toes which I love. She is talking more, too! Who loves nap time more...Macie or me? I can't believe that she is 16 months old. Time just keeps on ticking and before long she will be turning 2! We are loving this weather and loving getting to spend time outside. She brings me her shoes when she wants to go out. She also will bring me the dog leashes after her nap because she knows that is what we do each day! Trying out the new swimsuit and loving playing in the water.
Thirsty

Macie was showing me her belly. That night she showed me her eyes, ears, hair, nose, and belly. I just love all her cute pjs, too! I decided I needed to get pictures in all her sets.

Feeding the ducks!
Macie loves birds. She waves at them when they fly over and she has a word for duck when we are at the park/pond by our house. She is actually more interested in the ducks than playing. I have to keep her from getting to close to the water.

MaKayla and Kyle are are neighbors and they love Macie and we love them. Macie screams with delight when Kyle comes riding up on his bike. They play at the park together! We will miss them when we move! (A couple of weeks ago, Kyle tries to hold "Baby Macie," but discovered she isn't a baby anymore.
Playing at the park!

Tired after a busy day..he has his paci and she has her thumb!

Whoa...who did your hair?

PEDICURE
Macie got a little pedicure from her Mommy this past weekend. She loves looking at her pink toenails. It is so cute!
We went to one of the pools in the neighborhood. They have all sorts of toys that squirt water but I guess they are only on during the weekend. We relaxed in the pool. Well, mainly just put our feet in and splashed water with our feet. It was COLD! Macie enjoyed it so much! She kept holding my hand and wanting me to go to the big pool.

Bluebonnets and Park

Even thought there were about three smaller size slides that Macie could do by herself she wanted the big slide!

Macie loved swinging!

Higher, Grammy, Higher
I forgot to post these pictures with the arboretum pictures because they were on a different camera. Anway, Grammy was got to stay with us several days while Paul was in Cuba. So one of the fun things we did was take Macie to the park. We were glad for naptime afterwards though!
We tried twice to get some sweet pictures in the field of bluebonnets. Macie like the flowers but didn't like the weeds touching her legs. Bees were all over the place which made me nervous. The last thing Macie needs is a bee sting because of a picture.

Macie and Blake hung out in the cage while we went to dinner and a concert with Blake's parents and some friends! JUST KIDDING! Macie and Blake hung out though last Saturday and had a great time playing together. These two really have a great bond!

2nd attempt-I took the dogs thinking it would help but it didn't. Sebastian stuck his nose in an ant bed and Macie didn't want to get close to the flowers without crying!

More of the Arboretum

About a week or so ago, we went to the arboretum again. It was absolutely beautiful. When you are there you forget there is a big city around you with houses and building everywhere. We had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect. Macie and I were glad that Grammy got to enjoy it with us.

This was a different day! I just thought it was cute! Too bad Macie has misplaced the cute sunglasses but she did get some new ones!

DIRT

I love every minute with her! I love her cute new words (and it is only the beginning of words!) I just love everything about my sweet Macie!

15 months

The nurses loved those pigtails!

Macie had her 15 month check up and it went great! Macie weighs 23.4 lbs (50%) and is 33 in (97). Where is she getting this height? Maybe she will be around 5'5 when she is older and she will never have to worry about jeans being too long. I will keep my fingers crossed on that. Anyway, the nurse called Macie's name while in the waiting room and Macie just walked on back all by herself. She was waving at everyone. She then had a blast in the room and was a perfect little think when she was being checked out by Dr. Richardson. It was so funny to watch because she didn't move a muscle when the doctor was feeling her tummy, checking her back, and listening to her breath. The only thing she didn't let the doctor do was look in her mouth. She bit down on the stick...this is her new game when I feed her with a spoon. She bites down and smiles real big. Oh she is so cute. She cried for just a minute during her shots and was fine as we left...waving bye-bye to all the staff.
She is saying several words and is jibber jabbering a lot. My favorite word she says right now is dirt. She also sounds cute when she says juice and yes. Her favorite word is still baby! Jackson, her cousin, called everything clock for a long time. She calls everything baby!

Easter

Zack, Macie, and I had a relaxing Easter Sunday. On Saturday though it was a little crazy but fun. Our house showed twice and so between getting it clean, keeping it clean, and staying away for a couple of hours I had more than a little bit of anxiety. I kept thinking this is it. We went to the neighborhood Easter Egg hunt. It was a perfect day to be outside. Macie enjoyed looking at the animals in the petting zoo, playing on the toys, and taking a picture with the Easter bunny. We ended up missing the egg hunt because she was really tired from missing most of her first nap and then missing the first half of the second one due to the showings. We also were able to enjoy time with our good friends, Jonas, Kelley, and Tate. While hanging out with them we were told that the couple was putting an offer on our house. So here we are doing all the things you have to do to sell a house and now we will be looking for our new house in the Keller area. I am excited about the move and a little nervous too! I know God has a plan for our family so I trust His Will.

I think she would have had a bigger smile but I just knocked her in the head with my big camera while bending down to pick her up because she was running to the bunny while another kid was getting his picture taken.

Walking up to see the Easter Bunny
Daddy and Macie looking at the animals.
Crazy horse!
Colored chicks!
Ok, so I think Macie looks adorable(I know I am her mom). I love dressing her up!

Macie climbed up all by herself for the first time. She was so proud!

Daddy is mowing and he didn't ask me to help!

Where's Daddy?
Macie is putting her hands up all the time when you ask her where something is at?
