Vacation in Cabo

After many nights of tears, crying while reading Macie her bed time book before we left, and long notes for all the grandparents watching her, Zack and I left for CABO! Wow, what a wonderful and relaxing vacation we had. We missed Macie like crazy, talked/thought about her when we would see other kids, and loved email updates on what she was doing. However, this was a great trip for the two of us! We honestly loved every minute and even wished we could have stayed one more day. We started each morning with a work-out and then a delicious breakfast. After that our day consisted of laying on the beach, reading books, and playing games on Zack's phone. We ate lunch each day on the beach which was fun. We saw a whale swim buy each day as well which was fun because it was the end of whale season. We would go in around 6, clean up and then be off to a wonderful dinner. We would always comment that we never ate this late but it was so fun to just enjoy dinner with an amazing view. We stayed at the Fiesta Americana and would highly recommend it. We actually were already trying to think when we could go back! The staff was so friendly, the resort was so clean, and unlike some of the other places we have been the food was delicious! Oh and the weather was perfect...it was about 85 with no humidity each day and at night it got down to 65.

I kept telling Zack that the ocean is so breathtaking. You can't capture how wonderful it is with a camera.

I loved all the flowers

Dinner at Risoto

Risoto was the Italian Restaurant on the Resort. I was a little nervous about my lobster ravioli but it was delicious. Here is our chocolate cake with melted chocolate in it! This and the brownie with ice cream were our favorite desserts!

All the pools were infinity pools. We swam a couple of times but really just enjoyed the ocean sounds and view more.

On Saturday Zack left the resort to deep sea fish with a guy from New York. I was nervous about him leaving so early (5:45) in the morning in a cab but really I had nothing to worry about. Zack loved his time fishing while I stayed behind and loved reading my book! Zack caught 3 marlin ranging from 80-140lbs. The other guy caught 3 fish as well! It was a good day of fishing even though Zack felt like he was still rocking several hours later.

Bring in the First Fish

This is the first marlin caught weighing around 80lbs.

This seal and others apparently attach themselves to the boats when they come in from being out at sea. The seals wait on you to give them all your scraps! Why go out looking when people just give the food they need! Smart Guy! Zack said he looked really big! He must get a lot of scraps!

Last Night in Cabo

We are both a tan even though we spent most of our time underneath a cabana. The workers kept trying to speak Spanish to us because they thought we were Spanish...must be Zack's dark hair! I would give them my "Hola" and I think they quickly realized we were definitely non-Spanish speakers.

They were very big on presentation. There were a few appetizers we didn't try when brought to us but we were so pleased with each meal we ate!

I started eating before I remembered to take a picture. The sauce they had to go with the salmon was remarkable!

Macie Rides Her Scooter

Macie has gotten really good at riding her scooter like her friend next door. However, she gets a little frustrated when she is going uphill as you can see in the video. She also picks it up and turns it around when she is ready to go the opposite direction. She makes me laugh but I am very proud of her for getting the hang of her scooter!

Joe T Garcia's

We went to Joe T Garcia's one night for dinner with my parents and Josh,Lyndsie, and Blake. Macie and Blake were so happy to see one another. Before we got there, Macie kept saying things like "love Blake" and "give him a hug." Well, once they saw each other that is exactly what they did....gave a big long hug. The people around them thought it was so sweet!

Macie and Blake were entertaining themselves as we waited in line forever for our table. When you go to Joe T's you have to get there early! It is a great atmosphere with great food!

Before dinner Lyndsie and I let the kids look at the different fountains but NOT one BIT of water got on them. When their daddies took them to the fountain after dinner, they wound up soaked. One lady came up and took a picture. They might as well have gone swimming in the pond! They had a blast. Luckily we didn't get kicked out. Josh joked that they had to walk the "walk of shame" out of the restuarant. (I think Blake is giving Macie a dog kiss in this picture!)

Finley and Kylan Spend the Night

I have some catching up to do on the blog but I am trying to go in order; however, I uploaded all these pictures in reverse order. Oops! I wasn't thinking!

Finley and Kylan came to our house last week and spent the night while Chris and Amy attended a family wedding in Dallas. We had a blast! We told Macie the day before that they were coming to her house. When she woke up she waited at the window for them to come. We should have thought about that and told her they were coming after nap. We ran a few errands while were were waiting on them to get here and Macie kept asking if we were going to Austin to see Finley and Kylan. I loved every minute except for the one time I couldn't get Kylan to sleep. I was thinking, "Have I lost my baby touch? I am about to be doing this again....what is wrong?" Finally Kylan went to sleep. We just didn't have him settled the way he liked it! Once we did he was out like a light! What a good baby he is! He slept through Macie and Finley screaming, playing chase, and having a good 'ol time! Macie couldn't get enough of her cousins. She was always very concerned about Kylan and wanted to be very close to him. Once he was sleeping though she gave her full attention to Finley! Finley and Macie played great together! Taking turns was not always an easy thing to do but they did a great job! I wish we could see Finley and Kylan (their parents too) more often because it is always so much fun! After their visit, I decide 3 is doable. I just have to convince Zack.

Park on Sunday

I laughed on the way to the park because Zack was pulling Finley and Macie while this pregnant momma pushed Kylan. I bet people were either thinking we were crazy or impressed by all the little ones! (I would be impressed!)
Kylan liked the park too!

"Swing Higher," are Macie's favorite words at the park. I am not so sure Finley agreed.

Macie is reading Kylan a book while Finley went to the "MAN STORE" (Home Depot) with Zack. Macie loved Kylan sitting beside her. She also liked feeding him his bottle and helping get his diaper on.

Sweet Dreams

"I love you, Baby Ky!"

Getting Ready for Bed!

It was actually a breeze. After Macie and Finley spent forever in the bath, Zack and I got all three of them in their pajamas, read them books, and put them to bed! Once all three were down, there wasn't a peep out of them!

Macie is a good cousin! I am glad Kylan didn't mind her wanting to kiss and hug him.

Zack and Kylan were watching Finley and Macie splash in the bath.

Sebastian is getting his Macie.

I wonder what they are discovering!

Finley! He is the sweetest! I love his little personality!

CHASE

Finley and Macie ran back and forth for a good 25 minutes playing chase. They would take turns chasing each other. It was so fun to watch.

After Finley watched Macie go down the slide on her belly, he did the same thing.

Macie would get to the bottom of the slide and then roll over. I think she was showing off for Finley.

Rain Puddles=Rain Boots

Last week we had a little bit of rain or drizzle. As soon as Macie saw that the ground was wet, she said she needed her rain boots on. Everytime we see a puddle I always remind her that she can't play in the puddles unless she has her boots on so she saw the water and she knew that meant she could SPLASH! I told her that after her nap she could go splash in the puddles. When she woke up she came out of her room with her boots and sunglasses on! She was ready to go. It wasn't really sunny but that's ok. Since she put her sunglasses on by herself, they are upside down. Also her boots are on the wrong feet but at least she is trying to be independent! Macie had so much fun playing in the water.

Halfway There-20 Weeks

Today we had our 20 week doctor's appointment which included the sonogram. It was nice to confirm that we were having a BOY after having the sonogram at Weatherford college a month ago. I wouldn't say we did a great job of acting surprised but we did the best we could. Our little boy wasn't quite as active as he was last month and I am assuming it is because I didn't drink a coke this time around. We did get a good view of him and even saw him kick once on the screen as I felt it through my belly. He is healthy and so that is all we pray for and thank God for! The doctor did say my placenta is a little low which is completely normal in this stage of pregnancy but I will have another sonogram completed in 2 months just to make sure that it has moved up and out of the way for delivery. I am happy to know we are halfway to meeting him and having lots of fun looking at boy things and coming up with things to decorate his room. I am excited and anxious to get all of it ready even though we still have a little while to wait for his arrival. I love feeling him move and I love imagining what what this little fella will look like!

Oh, I almost forgot! When we were meeting with Dr. Flowers Macie was very interested with the machine and equipment. I told her these were things doctors used. She met Dr. Flowers and even said hi. As we were leaving, Doctor Flowers was going into the room next to us and Macie followed her in there. I was so embarressed and so was the lady who was probably in her 3rd trimester because she just had the thin gown on that they give you. I apologized and said I guess Macie was just thinking that she may want to be a doctor when she grows up!

After I was finished getting the sonogram, Macie said, "My turn." She keeps saying that the baby is growing and getting bigger in her tummy. It's a Boy...is what Macie's sticker says!
20 Weeks

It's funny because so many people keep saying that my belly looks so tiny. I want to say, "What are you thinking?! It's not tiny to me!" I do love my baby bump though!!!
I don't think it will be long until my belly button decides to pop out!
